Mom Indicted for Hiring Stripper for Son's 16th Birthday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 29) - A mother faces criminal charges after she hired a stripper to dance at her 16-year-old son's birthday party.

Anette Pharris, 34, has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and involving a minor in obscene acts. The boy's father, the stripper and two others also face charges.

''I tried to do something special for my son,'' Pharris said. ''It didn't harm him.''

About 10 people under the age of 18 were at the birthday party in September, including minors who were not related to the family, authorities said.

Police spokesman Don Aaron said minors are not permitted in adult establishments.

''A person shouldn't be allowed to circumvent that law by hiring a stripper, a lady who took all her clothes off and spent a good amount of time dancing around minors,'' he said.

Anette Pharris took photos at the party and tried to have them developed at a nearby drug store. Drug store employees notified authorities, police said.

''Who are they to tell me what I can and can't show to my own children?'' the mother said.
Ladies and gentlemen, we now have a strip club opened for minors. How about that? *Sarcasm*

Please, she didn't hire a stripper just for her son. She hired a stripper when there were 10 other minors who were NOT her children at the party. I don't think many parents would expect strippers at a 16-year-olds birthday party.

I love how this is just sooo blantantly wrong and the mother just doesn't get it. Actually this might be a good way to scare the kid from ever wanting to see strippers again. I know I'd be tramatized if my dad hired a male stripper for my party.

For some reason I am not surprised. Well, I guess I am because stripper is really pushing it but I saw one episode of sweet sixteen on MTV where a father hired pole-dancers for his son.

I don't see why most guys like strippers. It's like showing a preview for a good show then telling me I don't have the channel they're going to air it on. Being teased it not fun.. well not for me.

Maybe she just wanted to make sure he stayed home, "safe" in his room that night.

Same here! I would be traumatized if a guy in a thong began dancing on a pole in my party.

The breast implants are what kill me! It's one thing if you boobs are different sizes or maybe they are TOO big and you want them reduced, but getting them bigger just for cosmetic reasons? I'm not against it, but it just seems to me like parents should be telling their children they are ok the way they are...every teenager feels insecure about their body at some point, it's part of maturing and growing up.

Isn't 16 considered a adult in some states? If he was the only one at the party then honestly I wouldn't see anything wrong with this.

I just heard on the radio yesterday that a British television presenter had said on air that she was going to send her son to Amsterdam if he passed his exams so he could go to a prostitute - which she of course would pay for.

So very, very twisted.

Whoa! Is she serious?

But then again, it gives him a reason to study. But for that...

Am I the only one who thinks it's more creepy than anything that a parent got her kid a stripper. I mean I'd be feeling hella awkward (Hell I feel awkward when I see sex scenes in movie with my parents ^^; ). They must a very open minded family XD

PROSTITUTE 'TREAT' FOR NOLAN LAD
By Catherine Harke
COLEEN Nolan is arranging for her son of 16 to have sex with a prostitute - as a reward for passing his GCSEs.

The singer-turned-TV presenter has even given her fiance Ray Fensome permission to go on the sex trip to Amsterdam - as long as he tells her all the intimate details.

The 40-year-old made the shocking agreement with son Shane Jr, from her first marriage to EastEnders star Shane Richie.

She is also mum to Jack, 13, and Cira, four.

"I said, 'Ray will have to go with you' and he said, 'Well then, Ray might sleep with a prostitute too'," she told ITV1's Loose Women show.

"I said, 'Oh, that's all right, it's only a prostitute'. I wouldn't throw away the father of my children and all that for the sake of lads being lads."

As the jaws of her co-presenters dropped, she said: "As long as he comes back and tells me about it. I'm not joking, I'd love it. There's something a little bit kinky about me."
If my boyfriend went to a prostitute, that would be it, over, straight away. Its just...icky, not to mention unhygenic.
