That video is just purely amazing. I never get tired of watching it.

I totally agree - MJ was great. But as I watch the videos of him as a kid and the videos released afterwards... gosh, I just can't help but think of the amount of sadness he had lying within him.

This is very upsetting news about Michael Jackson. I was big fan of him and loved to jump around and dance when Thriller use to come on TV. There will never be anyone else like him. Despite what people may personally feel about his allegations about him, he was a legend of the music industry, broke racial barriers and an inspiration to many of the talent we have today. I hope he is now at peace.

Absolutely. He's getting this much coverage because he was one of the greatest performers of all time. Say what you will about his personal life but 750 million albums sold, 13 grammys won, and the best selling song of all time (Thriller) pretty much speak for themselves. Not to mention how he changed dancing, music videos, and MTV in general. This guy was huge!

Just curious, but why do they say Garth Brooks (my all time fav) is the #1 selling American music artist when Michael sold more albums?

How do they come up with these numbers anyways?

Sorry to be OT.

I love watching MTV and VH1 because they keep away from the constant news coverage and stick to what made him so great, the MUSIC.

Could they mean as far as country music?

The fight already begins with who will get the kids:

Debbie Rowe: I'm the Legal Parent of Two of Michael Jackson's Kids - Michael Jackson : People.com

Debbie Rowe: I'm the Legal Parent of Two of Jackson's Kids

Debbie Rowe, the mother of Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, is their legal parent and can gain custody of them if she chooses, according to Rowe's former attorney, Iris Finsilver.

Prince Michael, Paris and Jackson's third child, Blanket, 7, whose mother has not been identified, have been in the care of Jackson's mother Katherine since the entertainer died Thursday after a cardiac arrest. "The kids are very upset, but they are fine," Jackson's manager, Frank DiLeo, tells PEOPLE.

During the custody fight between Rowe and Jackson in 2005, Rowe sought to give up her parental rights, and lauded Michael as a good father. Retired Judge Stephen Lachs, who presided over the hearing, at first agreed to terminate them, but then Lachs changed his mind and returned the rights to her.

"She lost them, and then she got them back," Finsilver says. Finsilver said she spoke to Rowe on Thursday but she cannot say what Rowe plans to do. "She was inconsolable."

Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman says Jackson's mother, the family matriarch, would be a natural guardian for the kids, though it won't be her decision.

"Katherine is the logical choice – she has all the grandkids and nieces around her but it will be up to the courts," Oxman tells PEOPLE. "I wouldn't be surprised if there are more proceedings regarding the children."

I wouldn't want to go back to a woman who gave me away at birth. These kids don't know her!

No. They say he is the biggest selling American artist.

Does that just count for American album sells and Michael's is world wide?

I think Michael wanted kids and Rowe agreed to give them to him, Michael wanted to be a single parent. I think they knew what they were going to do from the start so it wasn't so much her giving them up at birth, but what Michael chose to do. I don't think the kids are his biological children, but he was still very much their father.

His mom seems like the one who should have them, but it's kinda ifey if Joe will be involved since he was pretty mean to Michael and his brother's when they were kids...

I don't know - his mother is 79 and for her to take on 3 kids under 15 seems a little daunting. I know she'll have help but realistically she could pass away in the next ten years and the kids would have to go through that trauma again. It would be nice if once of his brothers was stable and could take care of them. We'll see I guess but the mother of his two older children doesn't seem to be a good choice.

It's been reported that his kids rarely saw their grandparents in recent years. You'd think that Michael did this on purpose.... I dunno. We all know how cruel his parents treated him and his siblings growing up.
I don't know who else is an option to raise them though.

I read today that there will be a televised public funeral, but no date has been set yet.

I wish Janet could take them, she always seemed like the most level headed.

a man surrounded by controversy.

Ironic that he might of died at 12 o'clock. When the big hand touches the little hand.

Then maybe they're referring just to the U.S. because I think Michael sold the most worldwide.

I always wondered if those kids were really Michael and it's just so hard to tell. I mean, all three are very much light-skinned but then again they look like they have his ears. I can't tell. But they looked up to him as their father and loved him as such and that's what is important. I think Katherine or Janet would make great custodial parents for the kids - just not Debbie. I think she just gave the kids to Michael to please him. She wasn't even thinking as a mom. And remember - her rights to the kids were never taken away. She flat out stated that she didn't want them. Very nice. But what is strange is the judge first ruled in her favor and then took it back. What was the point in doing that?

How can you be so callous about the death of your child? Pitiful.

I don't know why some the entertainment shows are doing interviews with Joe Jackson, the man makes me sick with the way he treated his children, and the fact that the family seem to still stick with him, I don't get it.

I feel very sorry for the life Michael had, I think he is probably much better off where ever he now may be.

As for his music, I wasn't really fond of it, there are a few songs I liked though. I must say that I got a shock to hear that he didn't invent the moon walk and that it was already being done on the streets before MJ learnt it.
