I find it more disgusting that it's channels actually want to show it. If they're going to get married, fine, but don't flaunt crap like that around.

I bet tons of people will be watching. I, for one, won't be. I shall be doing everything possible to not even flip to the channel that that is on. I'll probably block it on my television for a couple of hours or so.

I at first thought the wedding was in the extent of Princess Diana and televised in that manner but reading it, it will be like other 'celebrities' that sometimes allow the media access to their wedding in some way.

Seriously though, talk about 'feeding the trolls'. Leave them alone and don't give them the media attention. Yes, Mary Kay did a horrible thing but she did the crime and let her fade to obscurity.

Something of note from the articles:

The shows will also document the couple's wedding, which will feature some of Letourneau's older kids.
Bolding mine.
So i guess it means they have a relationship with their mother. That must be weird.

Mary Kay & Vili

If if ever met Mary Kay, I would say "You go, girl!!!" My opinion is simply that life is too short to be judgmental. I wish I could meet Mary Kay & Vili. I like a much younger man myself, although I never dated anyone who's a minor. But, who am I to judge? Morally, legally, whatever "wrong" was committed, it's in the past and they've both paid dearly already. He's an adult, so who gives a flying crap if they want to be together. I'm utterly amazed their feelings survived the whole thing, although I shouldn't be, because love is love, plain and simple. I'm very happy for them both, and wish everyone (including myself) could experience the joy they obviously bring to each other.

Love is not love, it is defined by rules. That would be like saying that the love between a pedophile and the one that he obsesses over is love, it isn't. I don't have a problem with them being together, it's their life, their love, and indeed, now that he is not a minor he is able to make his own choices. However, she also allowed herself to be put on the platform and be subjected to public opinion when she had an affair with a 13 year old male and upset the lives of her husband and children. And the fact that they are now trying to cash in on something like that is crazy. You know there has to be monitary benifit in this, or they're hoping there will be in the past. I don't like any reality shows except one or two that I think aren't as trashy as the rest. I won't watch this because I don't care about their lives or what goes on between them. Why should I watch their wedding? I wouldn't go to the wedding of someone that wasn't a close friend so why should I watch it on TV? It isn't even anything against them, it's just personal preference but I do think it's trashy that they're trying to cash in on something like this.

So someone thought it would be a good idea to televise a convicted rapist marrying her now of age victim? Am I understanding that correctly???

Yes, you are. Excellent job. And it doesn't make any more sense to me than it does to you, trust me. The world is going crazy and I'm just along for the ride.

Eh. Get a grip people,t his article doesn't say anything about it being televised or a reality show or whatever. They're just letting the press interview them about it.

The fact that stations are considering this is disturbing enough. Television stations have truly become bottom feeders searching for ratings and numbers. It's humiliating to see what the US has become in terms of things like this.

Ugh. I'm from Seattle and it's Mary K watch all the time. She abused her power as an adult and took advantage of a kid. That is just wrong.
