| Mary Kay Letourneau released Mary Kay LeTourneau released after seven years This is really, really disturbing. I'm not saying she should stay in prison forever, but it's still gross. The kid was twelve years old at the time of the 'affair' and now he's raising his two kids with his mother at age 21.  Poor guy. If LeTourneau moves out of state or the county, will she have to register as a sex offender? | Ultimate Fan   | I don't know but I've heard that she and the kid want to hook up again or something like that so they're going to try to get a court order repealed that says they can't see each other again. I mean, I know it was kind of wrong but it's not like she raped him or anything and if they do end up back together then I hope they're happy. | I agree. What she did is wrong and is rape. A 12 year old boy does not have the mental capacity to fully understand the consequences of having sex. It's bad enough 12 year olds are having sex with 12 year olds, they do not need to be having it with women twice their age. I kind of hope that the conditions upon release of her not being able to see him are held up....she still doesn't get that it was wrong. When you are 32 you have no business "falling in love" with a 12 year old. | does she have to register as a sex offender since she did sexually molest the boy? talk about a deluded woman...i feel really sad for her kids she had with her ex-husband...i'm sure there's a lot anger towards her from them... | |||

| I think its great she is finally out. I hope her life gets better from here. You can't help who you fall in love with, I mean they put her in prison but they didn't put that lady that was 40-something years old that married like a 10 yearold.... sooo.... whats the *****in big deal. it's a very big freakin' deal when the parties involved are a damn child and an adult...one who knew what the hell she did was wrong or at least should have had the damn sense as an adult and parent to know what she did was wrong....she was his teacher....she was an authority figure in his life and she grossly abused his trust to satisfy her own selfish and trifling need to feel "connected"...i'm sorry but i'm allergic to bull*****...if the failing of her marriage made her so desperate for human connection there were plenty of people she could have connected to who were of and over the legal consenting age of 18.... anytime a child is placed and entrusted into the care of an adult you are responsible for esuring their safety and care....anytime a child, yes folks he was a damn child, is grossly abused it's a failing.... i feel the most sorry for the kids involved on all sides because letourneau still can't find the maturity and sense enough to claim responsibility for all the lives she damaged because of her own selfish needyness, which i find wholey unexscusable because she violated a child....as a parent i'd like to think she would have recognized that fact but she was and still is wholey focused on herself... love is not just love...it's responsible and she wasn't doing that at all...i can only imaging how twisted this young man has become due to the fact that an adult took adavantage of him... her own daughters may not want to have anything to do with her because of this and that's sad that she may loose out on a relationship with her own children...i pray she never experiences the other side of this if it happens to her children.... anytime an adult abuses and missuses the trust of a child for a sexual relationship everyone should be upset because that is the grossest form of child abuse imaginable.... it's not called love when one party is a child it's called statutory rape and pedophilia... she's a grown woman who still can't see what irreputable damage she's wrecked and that's so damn sad.... | |||

| I found the whole issue disgusting. The idea of it just makes me want to be sick even imagining it. I was too obsessed playing sports at 12 to even care or think about stuff like that. I understand the court order that she cant talk or have anything to do with him. It's common occurance and it should be. I personally think she is controlling him. I heard about some of the ltters that she wrote him and I think she is psychologically got control over him that that is why he wants to see her. I really feel for her ex husband and her children from that marriage.
