Liberty National Life Insurance Company

A week ago, I took my kids to the mall to get them new winter coats. The department store was pretty busy and having two rambunctious six years olds means you have to not let them out of your site for a minute. I’ve taught them what to do if we ever get separated though and fortunately, it’s only happened once and I found them 5 minutes later at the cashiers counter.

Unfortunately, we stumbled upon a little boy sitting on the floor next to a rack of coats. At first I thought he was with the lady to his right but when she moved away, I gathered that he was not. He seemed a bit distressed so I asked him where his mother was just to be sure he wasn’t alone. He then told me that he couldn’t find his mother. I then took him to the cashier counter to see if she could make an announcement to find his mother. I asked him what his name was and he gave me this kit. It had his name, his parents’ name, his age, photo and so much more information. Instead of announcing it over the loud speaker, I asked the clerk if she could use the phone and call his parents phone number instead. His frantic mother picked up and was in the security office of the store. She came immediately and collected him. She thanked us over and over. I told her it was no problem, being a mother as well, I knew how she felt.

I told her that if she told me where she got that little kit her son had, that was all the thanks I needed. She told me that it was called the Child Safe Kit and she got it from the American Income Life Insurance Company. She ordered it off their website and said it was free. I logged on and ordered it that very night. You can’t beat the fact that you’re getting it for free. I think every parent should get this and like the kit says, teach your kids about the dangers of strangers.

That seems like a really good bit of advice.

This is really good advice especially with the holidays approaching. You're always hoping these sort of things don't happen but it does.
