Caped Driver Leads Police On Wild Ride

ROSEMEAD, Calif. -- A man erratically driving a white car -- with what looked like a purple cape billowing from the driver-side window -- led authorities on a freeway chase in the San Gabriel Valley Tuesday. The chase started at about 10:00 a.m. ended shortly after 11:30 a.m., when the suspect entered a parking lot and parked outside a small store in Dana Point.
The chase went from the San Bernardino (10) Freeway to the San Gabriel (605) Freeway to the San Diego (405) South.
The man -- who was wearing a white cap -- earlier was seen partially outside the moving vehicle. The cap later blew off when he raised his head through the car's open sun roof.
At various times, the driver took both hands off the steering wheel. He waved and blew kisses at circling helicopters.
The chase began after police were sent Tuesday morning to an El Monte home to investigate a disturbance call.
"When the officers originally arrived at the house, they found that the doors were open and that there was a stereo on inside the house that was very loud," El Monte police Lt. Robert Roach said.
Officers later checked inside the house and found that "it was completely ransacked," said Roach.
Roach later said that the suspect's father called to say it was his car and his son was driving it. Roachsaid the suspect has a history of drug use.
Nobody was injured during the chase, which at times reached speeds well over 100mph. There was no word immediately after the chase about the driver's mental condition or whether he was drugged and no word on what prompted the chase.

So this crazy guy, has one hand, or foot on the steering wheel and sticks himself outside the car window- he leans right out. He then sticks his left foot out, gives the middle fingers, blows kisses to the chopper cams and what not.
Then he finally reaches his "destination" I guess and what does he do.. HE PARKS THE FREAKING CAR IN A PARKING LOT STALL then casually strolls out of the car and into the resturaunt.
Police tackled him after a few seconds of him screaming.
Sheesh. What a chase this was.
