| Was it a kidnapping or not? Anyone that watches Americas Most Wanted has probably seen this case Quote:
For the stations covering it, that seems to be the question. People are trying to figure out if she was really kidnapped by this guy or if she simply went with him. The Americas Most Wanted stories made it seem more like she wanted to go with him. | |||

| I read a few stories about this and I would bet that she did it willingly. They lived together for 10 years, you think she couldn't escape if she didn't want to? __________________ When people get the opportunity to talk about the real issues, it becomes clear how vacuous the present agenda is. | Well, the link you provided there definitely favors the kidnapped opinion. It gives no evidence of her having stayed with him willingly. I could understand how she would believe that an ex-convict and killer would threaten to hurt her family if she left, and if she really cared about her family, then that surely would constitute as a kidnapping. I can't really say much, though, because I haven't read up on it (it's actually the first time I've heard about it) and, well, I'm a bit lazy to go looking for more accounts. Though, I could understand why she didn't leave if it is true that he threatened her family... I mean, this is a man that has no future anyway because of his past actions and, even if she left and went to the cops about it, the guy could still get to her family some way (by dodging the police or escaping again, etc.). Who knows. Maybe she was somewhat happy with the guy but still would have rather had her normal life back if it wasn't for the threat. __________________ Bogus in bogus, so to speak. -Trish | |||
