| Karla Homolka blames police, Ontario and Quebec Governments for her jail term... What a crock of ****... Quote: Killer lashes out Blames fate on slew of others
By ALAN CAIRNS, Sun Media
LONGUEUIL, Que. -- Karla Homolka blames police, the media, politics and "crazy" Ontarians for her plight.
She is so angry at Ontario and Canada that she voted for the Bloc Quebecois in the last federal election. She even blames the Quebec judge who gave her 14 release conditions -- two of which she is alleged to have broken.
Homolka said that Quebec prosecutors are now just as "pissed" at Ontario as she is.
Homolka made the allegations to hardware store boss Richer Lapointe in a series of rambling statements.
Through her comments, she never once stated any remorse for her role in the schoolgirl murders.
'WE'LL WIN HANDS DOWN'
Homolka hopes the same Ontario authorities she blames for making her life so miserable will have no impact upon her appeal of 14 post-release conditions placed upon her by a Joliette court prior to her July 5 release.
"If politics doesn't come into it, we'll win hands down," she said.
Homolka said the upcoming appeal -- scheduled for Sept. 22 -- is now "much bigger than just me and now involves lawyers for the Hells Angels."
She said Ontario did not hold its side of the bargain not to interfere with her prison and parole issues.
The outlaw motorcycle gang is worried that plea bargains involving gang members can be overturned, she said.
"This is not just about me ... this is a huge issue for criminal law," she said.
Homolka said she feels confident about the appeal because Quebec authorities now understand Ontario made a mountain out of a molehill when they sought stringent release conditions a month before her release.
She slammed Justice Jean Beaulieu, claiming he made up his mind even prior to her lawyer Sylvie Bordelais' arguments in court.
"She kicked ass in court ... He said 'OK, I'll be back in 10 minutes with my decision ... the thing is, his decision (with pages of reasons) was already made ... how the hell could he do it 10 minutes," she said.
"Now, Ontario has nothing to do with the appeal. Quebec will have to deal with the **** Ontario created."
In her allegations against Ontario authorities, Homolka asserted that if police had not "f----- up" the Scarborough Rapist probe into her ex-husband Paul Bernardo, the pair's three victims would still be alive.
"They f------ up royally. If they had done their job, nobody would have been killed -- nobody!" she said.
"They didn't do their job. They had the DNA a year before anybody was murdered -- a year! They didn't test it! They had him. They f----- up!. They f----- up big time!"
Homolka said Ontario authorities were "very embarrassed" and made a deal with her. She said they also had no evidence against Bernardo in the murders of Kristen French, 15, and Leslie Mahaffy, 14, and the drug rape of her youngest sister, Tammy, 15, until she gave them 400 hours of statements in February 1993.
"They came to talk to me, asked me all kinds of questions about him ... because they finally tested the DNA -- finally!"
Homolka said she withheld information at first but then told police everything she knew.
"I answered their questions. Some of them I answered truthfully, some of them I didn't ... that was the first time and the last time I wasn't completely honest with them ... after that, I said I have to come clean ... tell them everything."
"To say that I didn't is outrageous ... it's not true. To say that I tried or withheld is a bunch of bull****."
| Quote: Outrageous Karla Broke rules of release, killer's employer says
By ALAN CAIRNS AND BRODIE FENLON, Sun Media
LONGUEUIL, Que. -- A Montreal-area man who secretly employed Karla Homolka at his hardware store to see if he could either rehabilitate her or get "the truth" from her says he has evidence she has breached at least two release conditions.
Richer Lapointe, 39, says he will provide Ontario and Quebec prosecutors with evidence that he says shows Homolka was in contact with at least one and possibly four violent criminals who are either still in prison or have been released from prison.
Lapointe said that Homolka broke another condition when -- without knowing her conditions -- he left her alone in his store with his two sons -- aged 9 and 14.
Lapointe said during discussions in her three weeks of employment with him, Homolka:
- Told him that she cooked a week's worth of meals for her boyfriend in Laval -- a boyfriend who Lapointe believes is imprisoned killer Jean-Paul Gerbet;
- Suggested she had been in touch with another imprisoned killer she befriended in a western prison and a recently released inmate in Quebec;
- Was enjoying social outings with two guards who she befriended at Joliette prison.
EXPLICIT PHOTO
Lapointe described Homolka's behaviour at the sight of a 19-year-old sales clerk as "trembling" with excitement.
Lapointe also said that Homolka accidentally dropped an explicit photograph of a naked and spread-legged woman on the floor of his store while showing him a personal photo album that contained pictures of her parents, her sister and her nephew.
He asserted Homolka told him she was a lesbian but also liked guys and one day hopes to marry and have children.
Lapointe was flabbergasted when Homolka accidentally dropped the photograph of the naked woman on the floor while showing him her family photos.
He said that Homolka's obvious interest in young women is frightening, given her crimes.
Throughout hours and hours of discussions, Lapointe noted, Homolka "never, never, never, never, never, never mentioned sorrow for her sister Tammy."
"It's as if she vanished away," Lapointe said. "Inside of me, I wanted to say 'What about your sister, Tammy?'... but I didn't want to put the knife in the wound."
When Lapointe confronted Homolka one day about her conditions to stay away from "Jane Doe," Homolka finally confirmed the girl's first name to him.
Lapointe said that Homolka looked downwards and clenched her fists. "Well, she's still alive," Lapointe recalled Homolka saying.
Lapointe said he is going public with his information on Homolka because he feels there is something that is "unresolved" about her case. Homolka, 35, has been underground in Montreal since she was released from prison July 5 after serving 12 years for manslaughter for her part in her ex-husband Paul Bernardo's sex slayings of Kristen French, 15, and Leslie Mahaffy, 14, and the fatal drug rape of Homolka's youngest sister, Tammy, 15. Bernardo was convicted on two counts of first-degree murder in the French and Mahaffy deaths Sept. 1, 1995, after a spectacular trial in Toronto.
He was also sentenced to serve an indefinite prison term as a dangerous offender on guilty pleas to Tammy Homolka's manslaughter and to more than a dozen rapes attributed to the Scarborough Rapist.
At his murder trial, Bernardo tried unsuccessfully to pin the French and Mahaffy murders on his ex-wife -- who became the Crown's star witness after she struck a deal with prosecutors to testify against Bernardo in exchange for the 12-year sentence.
Bernardo, who started his reign of terror in Scarborough in May 1987 -- five months before he and Homolka met while Homolka was at a pet conference in Scarborough -- admitted that he raped French and Mahaffy but said it was Homolka who killed them.
| I simply cannot believe the things she has said.. Especially this.. Quote:

| What a moron! She just confessed to killing them after years of saying she had nothing to do with it and that she had to help because if she didn't her "abusive" husband would keep abusing her if she didn't."
This is rediculous. For those comments she should be thrown back into jail. And now she wants an appeal. WTF? She seriously has mental problems and they should be dealt with now before she reoffends because with an attitude like that, she will. __________________ Fingerprints. DNA. Florecent Lights. Luminol.
