I think he will be fair in trials and all judges have personal bias in many cases, liberal or conservative, it's a simple human fact, but I still believe that he will do a good job. __________________ Real Gamers Wear Pink "There is nothing to writing. | I have a problem with this. First of all, the Supreme Court is one thing in and of itself but chief justice? I think the chief justice should have been chosen from someone with experience on the Supreme Court - an internal candidate if you will. With regards to Roberts on court in general, his unwillingness to answer questions about his views should have been enough to not confirm him. Personal views on major issues are incredibly relevant as it gives insight into HOW he would interpret the Constitution whether he believes that to be the case or not. He could find a way to answer how he interpreted the Constitution on major issues without being extremely specific to his personal beliefs. As it is, we know nothing about how he will interpret the Consitution and he will be on the court for the next 40 or 50 years. The appointment process itself disappoints me. Regardless of party, people need to think long term and thoroughly about who is appointed to the SC and this process is too rubber stamped for my taste. | |||
