Hermph- CSI isn't nominated. Oh well, I don't really care since they never win when they are nominated.

Go Sopranos!

Charlie Kaufman is brilliant, although ESOTSM is my least favorite of his films.

Really? I haven't seen Being John Malkovich, but I liked ESOTSM a lot better than Adaptation. Adaptation was good, but the ending was too messed up for me to get a very good hold on what was going on.

Yeah, I liked ESOTSM better than Adaptation too...but I'm not really a big Charlie Kaufman fan.

I do find it weird that a lot of these movies haven't even come out yet.
I can't say who I want to win in that category. However, I'm dying to see 'The Aviator', 'Closer', and 'Hotel Rwanda'. I honestly have to wait and see some of these movies before I be all "ooh, I want this person to win!" because I don't want to sound silly.

Who I'm pulling for tv:

Lost
Christine Lahti
Denis Leary
Desparate Housewives
Felicity Huffman
Zach Braff
Julianne Margulies
Drea DeMatteo
William H. Macy
and last, but certainly not least...
Jeremy Piven.

So much love in the TV category.

Is Desparate Housewives going to be Sopranos Mark 2 with their 'hogging' of certain categories?

Interesting to see that a larger than usual number of movies either haven't been released yet or really didn't creatre a huge publicity storm or box office following. No Passion or Mel...

Huge surprise for me anyway - Amber Tamblyn wasn't nominated.

Hmmm... mostly crap. Awards are usually given out to the undeserving.

"A Very Long Engagement (France)"

Should be nomincated for best overall picture also. Audrey should've gotten a Best Actress nod too. Definetly a movie worth seeing if you can find it where you live (it's only in a few cities right now).

Being John Malkovich is his best movie. I strongly suggest you see it sometime. One of my all-time favorites.

ESOTSM was good, but really hard to follow and unfocused at times. It could've used some editing in my opinion. I liked Adaptation better.
