God intervened to have Bush re-elected.

http://www.beliefnet.com/story/156/story_15602_1.html

Ordinarily, I would laugh but this whole belief about God intervening disturbs me a bit. I was always under the impression God gave us free will to make up our own minds.

Another thing about Bush being re-elected--In order for the man to be re-elected he would have to have been elected back in 2000. Instead the guy was selected by the supreme court and our votes didn't count. Bush shouldn't even have been running this last time.

Free will makes god false and powerless.

Bush was elected fair and square both times.

Free will does not make God false or powerless. It just means he is simply giving us the mind to make our own choices.

Which includes flying planes into buildings and invading countries and slapping children.

When man invented this free will into the man invented god written in the man created bible, it allow man's creation to have faults and still maintain it's integrity.

How was it fair and square the first time? The Supreme Court is not supposed to decide things when there is a challenge. It is supposed to go the the House.

It was legal, but hardly fair and square.

This time, I don't think anyone can know who voted for whom. There were so many voter irregularities to actually say that we know who got the most votes. When it comes to voting, our country is pathetic and lost.

For. The. Love. Would you give it the fu** up already? He won, both times. Wheather you like or not, he won. You can complain about it til your blue in the face. He won. You can post as many useless whiney topics about how it wasn't fair as you can stand to post. He won. You can beat your head on a stone wall cursing, "Why God, Why!?"(oh wait, go had nothing to do with it) But he still won. There is no way around it. Its over. So to those of you who have been threatening to move to Canada, if it shut you up, I'll help you pack. Meanwhile, I get it. It's "awful" he "stole the first election" and therefore the second. Its tragic, really, but plase, for the love of all that is holy, do us all a favor and stop bitching about it!

Why can't people still express the opinion that the Bush election was tainted in 2000? For goodness sake..people still hate Hillary Clinton and still think that WMD are in Iraq even though the government has admitted that there are none. People talk about it everyday.

Freedom of speech also means people saying things you don't agree with and tolerating it. The last time I looked it doesn't mean telling them to keep quiet.

OT..I think God has more important things to deal with than the US election.

Opinions I have no problems with, its the whining that pushes me over the edge.

I'll talk about it forever more if I feel the need. It's the truth and it's not my fault you don't like it. Furthermore, if you're so tired of it why do you get so worked up? You should chill out a bit. Take a vacation, do some yoga, hell, pray to Bush if it makes you feel better.

Which is so ironic because you're constantly whining when people voice an opinion that doesn't mesh with yours.

One can make the case that anyone's strongly expressed opinion is whining. It's entirely subjective depending on your political and personal stance. Sometimes being tolerant is harder than lashing out.

I would love, for you to paraphrase even one instance of me whining when I don't agree with somebody. Please. Make my day.

I'm not sure who you're talking to since you didn't use quotes plus I'm really not interested in making your day... but this post could be seen as some as whining:

Overly dramatic to be sure and some whining in there as well. But you're missing my point.. depending on what side of the political argument you're on..anyone's post could be considered whining. Mine, yours and everyone else.

no, sorry. whining intales a certain amount of, poor me, I was slighted. They're out to get me which the post I lost it over carried abundantly. I believe it was the phrase "our votes didn't count" that made me put my foot down. I mean, come on....

I'm not coming on anywhere and I'm not sorry nor will I apologize for anything either. It's subjective and depends on your outlook. What you see as whining another person may see as legitimate criticism and vice versa. I understand you don't agree with it but I'm not changing my mind.

Besides the only rules on this board we have to follow are FF's rules. Last time I looked there was no restriction on anyone complaining about the 2000 election. So you can complain all you want but if people want to talk about it they will. Hey..my eyes tend to glaze over whenever I see posts explaining biblical references but I can't tell people to stop posting about that subject.. I just use my scroll button.
