What kind of parents wait two months to call the cops?

I guess the girls had told their parents about the "tv show"s rules, and that they thus should expect to not hear from them the next two months. Then they didnt get worried before the time was up, and their daughters still hadnt returned.

And that's fine if they're of age, but we know there's a sixteen-year-old involved here. There might have been more underaged girls, we don't know.

And the law is clear. For one thing, underaged kids can only work with parental approval and under very specific, very restrained circumstances. For another, that is why they're almost never involved in reality TV shows where there the "work days" are so intrinsically long.

No kids on Survivor. No kids on Big Brother. No kids on So You Think You Can Dance.

There were enough red flags here.
