| Frutarating things the government does! I HATE that the Federal Reserve thinks it's ANY OF THEIR BUSINESS how many online transfers I make from my savings account to my checking account, resulting in $30 IN FEES FROM WELLS *****ING FARGO. Who cares if I make 7 transfers a month? Who are they to say what you can do with your money? Is making more than 6 online transfers a month something terrorists do? And why is it that I could make 25 transfers IN THE BRANCH and there is nothing wrong with that, but you make more than 6 ONLINE transfers and all of a sudden it's a big issue. | I agree. Don't blame United States of America for your bank's problems. | To and from who/what? Months back when i was a big roller in UO i'd have 15-20 transfers a month at least and they'd consist mostly with transfers involving PayPal and then whatever else i was doing. Wells Fargo only has a limit because the Federal Reserve Regulation D says that you cannot make more than 6 online transfers from a savings account to a checking account per period. They don't limit online transfers from checking to savings though - only the other way around. Yes I am mad at Wells Fargo for charging me that ridiculous fee, but in their defense, they told me that I was in violation of the Federal Reserve Regulation, which they have no control over, and to lodge a complaint with them if I am mad. I don't really know, but maybe Wells Fargo could get in trouble if I went over the limit?? If the Federal Reserve didn't have such a stupid regulation, then this wouldn't even be an issue. That's why I am more mad at them than the bank. | |||

Why can't George Lucas release the ORIGNAL STAR WARS TRILOGY on DVD instead of the stupid, revisionist ones that were released in 1997?! All the advertisments say, "Own the original SW Trilogy on DVD with Enhanced picture and sound"... But if you do research, you'll find out that they AREN'T the true trilogy and are the ones that George Lucas added all the digital effects to that actually re-tell some of the stories just to keep them in line with Episodes I, II and soon to be released III. Technically, these aren't the original triologies, as advertised. Bottom Line: George Lucas has too much time and money on his hands and as an American, I think he should release what he advertises if he is going to charge $50 for this box set. Other countries have a lot more and a lot stricter restrictions than the US. Or you could switch banks and stop hating an entire country over an inconvience. | Dont mean to be rude but, WTF are you talking about? Please point out where I said "I HATE THE USA." I love living here. I love the United States. But like I said before there are CERTAIN THINGS. Yes, CERTAIN THINGS that I do not like about this country, this being one of them. You can't possibly expect me to believe that you love EVERYTHING ABOUT this country. There isn't ONE THING that pisses you off? I'm not going to move to another country because I can't make more than six online transfers per month,  . Why did you even say that? I am just expressing my frustration at what I find to be a ridiculous policy that is really none of the governments business. And as far as I know, all banks are governed by the Fed, so I don't think it would matter what bank I would go to. I think the regulation would apply at each one. So, for the record Mallory, I do NOT hate the USA. Nor do I HATE the fed. What I hate is Federal Reserve Regulation D which limits the number of online transfers from savings to checking accounts. | |||

| Ultimate Fan   | You know, I belonged to a bank that wouldn't let me make more than 6 debit card transactions a month. It was simply the plan I was on because at the time I didn't have a job or much money in the bank. Now, however, I can do as much as I want and they don't care as long as my account doesn't drop below $500. Maybe you are on a plan similar to that. Also, while the opposite of loving something is hating something, those are such extremes. Sure, there are things I dislike about this country. But instead of complaining about them on a forum, why not get out there and try to do something about it. | I'm sorry for being hostile towards you Mallory, it's just when I get pissed at something I tend to overreact. Don't take it personally I was just mad. I e-mailed the Federal Reserve and I got a quick reply actually and they explained why they have that procedure! It makes a lot of sense now and while it's still frustarating I can kind of understand why. Basically it has to do with how much cash on hand banks are required to have and it's sort of complicated. But...We DO have good jellybeans I'll admit! Those Starburst Jelly Beans are SO good! UnsilentMajority - you mean the DVD's they released are the ones that they re-made...the ones with the digital image of Jabba the Hut? I HATED those. All they had to do was improve the color and sound...they didn't need to play around with that scene. Grr...that computerized image looked so terrible. Here's one thing I love about this country: Subsidized Stafford Loans! Not having to pay interest while I'm in school is great and really saves quite a bit of money! | |||
