If this guy wins there's something wrong with our court system. It shouldn't even be accepted as a case, it should be thrown out right now. No ones forcing you to watch that show

That lightheadedness also caused him to bump his head on a doorway when he fled from the room, according to the claim.
He felt he had to flee the room? Did he not have a remote handy that he could have either turned the channel or turned it off? Some people...

Aitken is seeking $2.5 million in damages from the network, which he also claims "is sending the wrong message to its TV watchers that cash can make or have people do just about anything beyond reasoning and in most cases against their will."
$2.5 million in damages for a bump on the head? He should be sued for filing this lawsuit.

Reached by Reuters, Aitken said he is "not at liberty to discuss the complaint unless it is a paid-interview situation."
Ahhh.

Umm, yeah...that's one of the worst stories I've heard in a while.

Anyway, my brother hates that show, so if he's changing the channels around and sees that he'll just skip over it real quick. It's not that hard to do.

Hey, he made the choice to watch it. And it's not as if Fear Factor uses any false advertising. If anything, they show the most "shocking" parts during their previews.

It pisses me off that people think they can sue for anything nowadays. "McDonald's made me fat!" "Fear Factor made me hit my head!" Whatever.

Maybe I should sue all tv networks for providing such good tv that it has stolen my social life and caused emotional distress with season finales.

Ah, that's screwed up. I'd understand if the person suing were someone who contracted an illness from eating something on Fear Factor [even though they sign a contract beforehand, don't they?], but this guy just has too much time on his hands.

It's like that woman that sued McDonalds when she spilled hot coffee on herself and she said she didn't realize that it was going to be hot. Some people do some really stupid things and I don't understand how these things get to be cases.

Everybody just has it out for "the man", when in reality they're just out for "the media". This suit is more ridiculous than the plot of many reality television shows.

One reason you know this is going nowhere is because someones already tried to pull a similar thing. At the beginning of this year a woman tried to sue over the Janet Jackson incident, saying it caused her emotional problems. She eventually dropped the suit. With that there really was no warning, with this there actually is a long warning that the people are about to eat a rat. So if she couldn't take that case to court, this guy has no chance of it.

Remember the Popular season two finale? I'm still having issues about that because it was never resolved. I think I'll have to sue the WB for leaving me hanging there. I'll also sue them for their dramatic depiction of teenage life which encourages me to dramatize everything in my life, and I'll have to sue for all the times teenagers have sex, and - whoa, why even sue the WB? We should sue Degrassi! Abortions, homosexuality, teenagers having sex, rape... Ah. I think I'll never heal.
