Ok, I quoted your post b/c it had to do w/religion & I wanted to show you my opinion on what you said. I wasn't answering a specific question really, just stating some stuff I think. A lot of you say he wasn't excomunicated, & I apoligize. I did get my info wrong. Note to ya'll, don't always listen to every word your history teacher says LOL. Anyhoo, he was threatened to be as someone said before. That enough makes me happy. And I forgot who it was who said it, but it was talking about us sharing our faith. If you put down our faith saying it's wrong to say someone being gay is bad, then how come when we put down yours you get all defensive? It goes both ways. You aren't innocent in sharing your thoughts & beliefs, & I'm not either.

What kind of a school do you go to where the teacher talks politics? Tell him/her that she needs to get her facts straight.

He wasn't even threatened. A lawyer asked The Vatican to do it but it went nowhere. The Church has never spoken to Kerry about the possibility of excommunication at all.

Them thinking about or discussing doing it is a threat to me. My school is allowed to talk politics as long as no one is affended. If someone in the class asks the teacher not to mention something, then he can't. Students however can. In no way is it against school rules to give your political opinion. And I do agree, my teacher should've gotten his facts right.

Well I hope you tell him/her the next time you see them that they were wrong. An untruth was spread and should be rectified.

On a happy note, glad all the negative stuff has ended, it was a very negative and bitter campaign this year, looking forward to the ending all the sign litter on the sides of the roads too it was starting to look like a sign forest out there.

Kerry gave a good fight, but lost, and I give him props for not dragging it on. I'm sad to not see him as president.

congrats to Bush on winning the presidency again.

Actually, this seems like the first time he really won.

Kerry did put up a good fight, amazing for him, in fact. I think after hearing his concession speech a lot of people were even more impressed by him, such as swing voters. That makes me a little sad, because it's a little too late now, but at least people are left with a good impression.

I'm so glad that he did not want to make this another 2000 for the people. That was truly courteous and I honestly believe in the tables were switched we'd be unlikely to see the same action from Bush/Cheney.

Yes, I'm glad he didn't drag it on what did he say in his concession speech, though?

You know, I missed his speech at the DNC, but I wish I hadn't. I've been impressed with him in the interviews he's given. Shame I don't live in Illinois, though.

I'll be happy to clean up the signs. My creative writing teacher said he had a Kerry/Edwards sign taken out of his front yard. I have to wonder how long the Kerry supporters will leave on their bumper stickers though. The Gore supporters didn't leave them on long at all where I live but then Kerry's fans are either more loyal to him or more adamant against Bush. Anyway, I was happy with the outcome of this election. I was glad that Bush won and Mike Sodrel won a seat in the house in Indiana, the first time in 40 years that a Republican has held that seat. I was happy for him because I know him personally and know that he will do good things for a town based mainly on small business.

I have been wondering the same thing about the bumper stickers around here. There weren't many, but you would see some. I have only seen one since the election results.
