| Did Bush Force British Minister Out? Quote:
I considered putting this in the Blair in Crisis thread but I felt it has wider significance, specifically as some are speculating booting Straw out is a prelude to planning war in Iran. He described any possible war as "nuts" and is also a supporter of Gordon Brown, Blair's likely successor - its thought that he may not want to hand Brown another war to manage when he takes office. | |||

| I very much dislike the notion that any U.S. President would be able to bring down a British minister with a phone call. I'm cynical enough to expect it when it's a Fifth or Fourth or Third or even Second World country, but Great Britain? It's just shocking, and it's wrong. Dubya should fix things closer to home, especially seeing as he's the one who broke most of them! __________________ Because the danger is on the right!
