So, I was browsing last night. I couldn't sleep. Me + internet at 5:00 AM = crazy.

Anyway, I found some REALLY wonderful reading material. It debunks every lie and misconception about the gay community with support of the Christian Bible and science. You can't beat science, and you certainly can't beat when a reverend himself points out the Bible verses that people always use against homosexuality and renders them entirely unusable and taken out of context.

What the Bible Says - And Doesn't Say - About Homosexuality

And, science proving itself incredible and ever-so accurate and thorough, yet again. If every individual was forced to read these articles it would seriously clear up so much fear and misconception.

Thanks for that Kelsey. There's no question that homosexuality happened then. There was as much promiscuous behavior going on then as there is now. But that's the part that the Bible doesn't want to make known, I guess.

There are indications of homosexuality dating back to the Indus Valley civilization (from some of their art), which far pre-dates the writing of the Bible. One of the most misinformed arguments is that homosexuality is somehow "new".

Read the ancient Greeks. Any ancient Greek. Homosexuality used to not only exist before Christ, it was considered the norm.

Yeah, I read those articles a few months ago. Great, great points he makes.

It looks like someone has already filed a petition against Prop 8. There isn't much hope that the CA Supreme Court will reopen the case, but... we can always keep our fingers crossed.

Prop 8 Plaintiff Refiles Case With California Supreme Court. Huh?!

Well, someone found a way to de-segregate schools nationwide at some point.

Again, I don't want to make comparisons with the civil-rghts movement, because they're about different realities, but the principle should hold, no?

What I mean is, inevitably, at some point, someone somewhere with enough power is gonna realize that this is untenable in a modern democracy.

I honestly don't know what the answer is but it's not my decision to make. I think that love is love and gay people should be allowed to marry just like straight people. I've come to that conclusion after a lot of thought. I'm straight and a christian and i'm not sure what god would say about it. But I choose to let god be the one to judge not myself. I do know that god has an endless amount of mercy and compassion. God created everyone. I also know that each sin is equal in the eyes of god. But this isn't a religon debate really...so I think that we should let gays marry because we all deserve to be equals. I think it will happen one day just like blacks have made so much progress in society. nobody is better than anyone else. I hope that one day we all get to live equally and peacefully.

I don't like saying "word." It's a noun, not a verb.

I hope it's alright if I moved this over here. Just trying to keep things as tidy as possible.
