I know those polls aren't to be trusted, but I did read one that said 97 percent felt that PETA attacking him about the fly swatting was just utterly stupid.

Obama will be holding a Presidential Press Conference live from the Rose Garden at 12:30 p.m. today according to CNN. I'm sure it will be on all the major networks, at least.

I missed it too but from what was reported he mostly talked about what was going on in Iran and his health care plan. I particularly enjoyed how he basically told the crowd that he loves how people are blaming him for the riots that are going on in Iran - like he's been directing the CIA or something to make people go out there and fight. I mean there's no way possible that the people in Iran have a brain of their own and are standing up for something they believe in.

And I would say arrogant, on behalf of their country. Not everything in the world has to come from the US in some way

Like you said, the iranians are perfectly capable of thinking and acting on their own.

The thing about letting the Iranian do what they want without interfering is that this is how actual democracy is born.

Otherwise, it's just the Western world going in there and directing events.
