The governor and this woman might want to go ask those foster children what would they rather have, no parent because they're stuckin a foster system their entire childhood, or a couple of the same sex that'll love them. It's not a difficult thing to figure out. As long as a couple is seen qualified there should be no issue about who they fall in love with.

It's sickening. It shows how screwed up some people's priorities are. They would rather discriminate than give foster children the opportunity to live in a loving home with good parents.

It makes me so angry when politicians come up with this stuff. Who are they to say gay parents cant be good parents?! How many straight couples completely screw up their childrens lives, but because they can have children naturally, there are no restrictions on them having them!

If I have any more children - which will be in the very distant future! - then I will adopt. I obviously wont be able to have them naturally, and IVF isnt something I really want to use, when there are so many children who need homes.

I dont think I will be the perfect parent, I am sure I will make more than a few mistakes along the road....but I know if/when I ever have children, I will love them more than anything in this world. Who should have the right to tell me that I cant be a parent, based on my sexual orientation??

OMG, some people are just so mentally screwed up that it is not even funny. How can they say that a person is not fit to be a parent because of their sexuality. It's absurd. The only argument that the govener has is that he thinks being gay is wrong. He has absolutley no proof that children raised by gay families grow up to be any different than the rest of society, so what's his problem???

I think it's very despicable that people try to codify their own personal prejudices into law, but that seems to be the nationwide fad these days.

You know what really pisses me off? The fact that the Government finds humor in taking away the rights of Gay people. Gay Marriage and Gay Adoption, should not be judged upon. It's sad that the Press has freedom and Gay's don't. Even with Religion, that is in the 1st Amendment and you can't even pray in school no more. WTF? What difference does it make if your gay and you want a child? There are plenty of know cases where sex offenders are still able to raise their children and that is pitiful, that they are able to still be a parent and they have done something bad, but a gay person, OMG, don't let a child in their home, it'll mess them up and cause them pain and humiliation, yada, yada, yada, oh give me a break

It shouldn't matter whether the parents are gay. All that matters is that if the child is loved and looked after.

It's sad that people are very close minded. Yeah, it doesn't really matter if your parents are of the same sex, as long as they'll treat the child well and they are responsible for everything that the child needs.

How in the world will they know if these couples are actually good or not? By their sexual preference? That I think is the most absurd thing I've ever heard.

There are much more important matters that the gov't can pass for laws.

Being straight doesn't exactly make you more human, that all I'm saying.
