I've been following his trip to Africa on CNN and on their site, and reading this blog made me cry:

There are some things you see, some things you hear that simply are unspeakable. In a hospital in the eastern Congo city of Goma, we met a little girl. She never said a word to us, she could barely look us in the eyes. When she did, her eyes told the story.

"She never says anything to men," one of the hospital counselors explained, and then she told us why.

The little girl was raped. Gang-raped. It was allegedly done by soldiers engaged in a complicated regional war that has claimed millions of lives. The war officially ended in 2003, but outbreaks of violence and rape continue. The girl is now five years old. She was raped when she was three.

The fact that this is going on in our world... devestating and heartbreaking.

I don't watch CNN, but everything I've heard about Anderson Cooper has been positive.

How can people do that? Rape is horrible in itself, but a 3 year old????:O that's just... That makes me want to go and cut the balls of those suckers.

There's so much suffering in the world. Sometimes it can make you feel hopeless and angry but I guess if we all channel that into trying to do something, we might be able to make a diffirence.

There's so much atrocities going on in Africa. One thing done is cutting the arms off of people. I heard of a little girl asking her mother when her arms would grow back.

that's happening everywhere.. not just africa.
no matter what the context is, it's just unconceivable, cruel and sick.
