9/11 or Princess Diana?

Which conspiracy theory has more legs, 9/11 being an inside job or the US having involvement in the assassination of Princes Diana?

In a very roundabout sort of way, I'd say 9/11... since the CIA did train Osama. Beyond that, I'm with neither, too.

thanks for the link coolcat...

there are also a lot of good documentaries/movies floating around there that touch upon the princess diana conspiracy... it's amazing that Diana's death still has so many unanswered questions and conspiracy surrounding it.

I cant say i'm familiar with the theory of the US involvement in Diana's death. I've heard numerous about the british govt and the royal family being involved, but not the US. So i'd have to say 9/11

ok everyone... i just saw the preview for the new lifetime movie "The Murder of Princess Diana"

If you're interested it's airing tomorrow night (Saturday) at 9... I think it will give better insight regarding the conspiracy if you're not familiar with it. Jennifer Morrison (from House) is the main character so it should be pretty good.

I've heard about this movie, and I am a huge fan of Jennifer Morrison, but let's all remember that it's a fictionalized movie. The character she plays is fictional.

I so understand the interest, I really do. But... and this is just my opinion, so obviously people should feel free to disagree... it's been ten years. Shouldn't we leave the poor woman alone and let her rest in peace? What benefits can there possibly be to bringing the whole tragedy up again and again?

I totally agree, Sunny. I'm usually an avid watcher of all the Discovery/National Geographic type channels (especially Discovery Medicine! I'm a huge dork, lol) but lately I've been annoyed because they're advertising this special on Diana and the many loves of her life or something- I don't know, I tend to tone it out.

People seem to forget that while she was the "People's Princess," first she was a real woman with real feelings, who didn't really ask to become the media's darling, and after that she was a mother and a daughter and a sister and so on.

The lifetime movie The Murder of Princess Diana got slaughtered by TV Guide.

To Di For: Worst TV-Movie of the Year - Roush Dispatch | TVGuide.com

I would say that 9/11 definately has more conspiracy theories than Princess Diana. 9/11 was about hurting a lot of people and affecting America and the world. The conspiracy theories around Princess Diana are just about 1 person. And the death of Princess Diana did not have as much of an impact as 9/11 did.

From what I always heard, the paparazzi caused the car wreck because they were chasing the car that Princess Diana in it and they had their cameras flashing too. I also heard that the driver of the car was drunk.

I also always thought it was interesting how the death of Princess Diana got so much attention and so many people mourned yet when Mother Teresa passed away, not as many people cared.

...I think you're greatly minimizing the impact Diana had not only on people from the UK, but Europe and the rest of the world as a whole. I'm not saying her death was nearly as big a thing as 9/11, but it's almost laughable to say only 1 person was affected. Without even considering all the lives she touched... what about Tony Blair, who cemented his position in the UK with his reaction to her death? Or the Queen, whose popularity never recovered due to her lack of reaction? Or more obviously, what about William and Harry?

Anyway, I don't think there's a comparison between Mother Teresa and Diana's deaths. Diana died prematurely, in a car accident that was the direct result of the people's need to pry into her life, and the media responding to that. Mother Teresa died of old age. Every single person who ever read a biography or an article or a tabloid mentioning Diana helped lead to the chain of events that caused her death- that's the difference. Millions of people not only connected with the tragedy, but realized they held a small amount of the blame for it.

The death of Princess Diana was only about 1 person. 3,000 plus people died on 9/11.

9/11 had more of an impact than the death of Princess Diana.

Mother Teresa did more and helped more people than Princess Diana ever did. And it's a shame that people are trying to dig up stuff on Mother Teresa and distort her name and reputation. In my opinion, Mother Teresa was a saint and Princess Diana was just a figurehead.

I had no part in the death of Princess Diana nor did her fans. Stupid camera photographers are to blame for her death.

Ah, but would photographers have even noticed Diana was in Paris that night if they didn't get pay well for taking her picture?
