Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, has confirmed to OK! Magazine that she is pregnant. Oh. My. God.

A source tells us the interview, which hits stands tomorrow, is six pages and is on the record with Jamie Lynn and her mother. She tells the mag that the father is Casey Aldridge, who she has been dating for some time and first met at church. Brit's younger sister, star of Nick's "Zoey 101," says she's keeping the baby.

Sources tell us that she has not yet told her older sister. Well, she knows now.

UPDATE: Nickelodeon issued the following statement this afternoon: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

OMG! I have to say their mom did a very bad job in raising both of them. Shame on her!

I don't think it's completely fair to blame their parents. While I think they are responsible to a degree, Jamie-Lynn did not have to have sex. She even said people should wait, but she didn't.

Well, this is disappointing. That family is... well i'll reserve my comments on that.

Good luck to her. I hope she has a healthy baby.

That being said, I'm hoping that they cancel her show because she should not continue to be a role model for children. Young girls are already looking up to her and this is what they are seeing *shakes head*

I think one of the reasons they seem to be screwed up is because they got money and fame at young ages, especially Britney. She never really had a childhood. But I think if you look at the older brother, he seems more mature and more stable. But we can't know for sure as we never hear anything about him.

I have a question. If the father is 19 and the mother is 16, doesn't that qualify as statutory rape? I'm pretty sure it does.

Depends, what's the legal age of consent where they live? I know it's sixteen in a few US states.

It doesn't just depend on legal age of consent. It also depends on whether or not the state wants to press charges, or if any of the parties involved want to press charges. Some states also won't press charges when there's that small an age difference, three years, because it can be used by the defense. For example, if they started dating before he was eighteen then the case could be thrown out. There are a number of extenuating circumstances.
