Christopher Reeve was the epitome Superman. I also love Dean Cain in Lois & Clark TNAOS. But Tom's interpretation and Smallville in general was what introduced me to the Superman universe, so it will always be my no.1 favourite.

Totally agree when thinking of Superman, to me there's only one, even though I'm old enough to of been brought up with Christopher Reeves as Superman, and that's what I remember as a child, TOM is the only one for me, he just has it!

For me I can't really say Tom is the best "Superman" because he never really portrayed Superman.
 Smallville was about Clark Kent with the superpowers before he becomes Superman... which is why it took all the way to the finale episode for him to finally fly. I feel Christopher Reeve easily portrayed the best Superman |

^ That is true. Smallville was always about the journey to Superman right up until the end. The thing is, they never knew that the show would go on for 10 seasons, if it wasn't for the fans wanting more, I think they could have easily had Clark become Superman by at least S8 when he eventually works at the Planet.

I'm actually grateful it did go to Season 10 cause I get to get Clois. but it took entirely too long for Clark to become Superman, it started to just be a waste of time. lol So I guess I can understand why this show was probably intended to be shorter.I think that's why I disliked moments of Season 5-7 because Clark character didn't really have any character growth during those seasons. He was more concerned with the Lana/Lex relationship then he was with saving the world. It became kind of hard for me to watch because I know even though SV was going in a different direction, there is no way Clark is just sitting around doing nothing. It wasn't until Season 8 where Clark finally comes to his senses on his journey to Superman. Season 1-3 made sense to me because he was just understanding his powers and the limits to what he could do. Season 4 is even understandable but after that... yeah. It also just took to long for him to fly. The last episode? really? So I love SV but I have a lot of complaints about how some things happened. |
