Personally, I love both Hugh Jackman and Matthew McConaughey but they're both too old to play the part. The guy is immortal and is described as looking about aged 30 and has for centuries... *shrug* I still think that Tom would kick Martian butt in that role, but I guess we'll see what happens with it. The film's been in development for about 10 years and Jon Favreau was the previous director attached to the project about 2 or 3 years ago. I hope they do go forward, no matter what happens. I really do love the books, although they're a bit of a hard read being written so long ago. The writing style is dated and a bit stiff, but still a lot of action.
