I do think even if he had, he probably would have refrained from using them. He just used his inner strength to pull them up.

If I was Clark friend... I think I would have just been thankful to have him as a friend and never question him and hoped whatever secret he was hiding, he'd tell me eventually.
Now if I thought the secret was a danger to someone, I'd wonder more... although I know it is tough being friends with someone when you know they are keeping a secret from you.

I agree. Lana kept saying to him that he'll end up alone if he doesn't open up to the people that love him and was always frustrated that he kept so much of his feelings inside, notably from S3 Extinction. Obviously Lana wasn't to know just how big a secret he had been keeping, but if I was in her shoes, I would just be extra patient and realise that he's obviously keeping it for a very good reason and will probably tell me when he's ready. Just like how Chloe, even though she found out in S4 Pariah, she decided not to tell him she knows and let him tell her in his own time.

Then of course, there's all those times Clark was under the influence of RedK, or switched bodies with someone, or was incapable of explaining his behaviour that wasn't his fault, that he had inadvertently hurt Lana/Chloe, most notably in S4 Transference when Lionel was in his body. Clark couldn't tell them what happened and so took the rap. I always felt bad for Clark in those circumstances, 'cause Lana and Chloe both went through similar situations, but because they were under the influence of meteor rock their actions were explained and forgotten.

I'm currently rewatching this season, and I really liked the episode with Perry White I also forgot most of the storylines so it's like I'm watching this season for the first time.

Perry was a great episode. That's nice. I'm re-watching the show too, currently on S6. I had forgotten some of the story lines too.
