I have to mention that I truly loved Clark and Lionel first meeting.

I think it was their first meeting in Red? I don't know why, but I re-watch that scene a lot. Lionel was just blind, all confused about what was going on. lol

Their first official meeting was in Red.

Which was rather unfortunate, given that Clark was under the influence of Red K. It was lucky Lionel was actually blind!

I know, and that's why I probably loved the scene even more.

Clark was just all arrogant and Lionel obviously couldn't believe his ears.

I think he always heard great things about Clark, and saw him from a far view and assumed he was the best boycott ever so the meeting surprised him. lol

Lionel always amazed me with how he was with Clark in front of others.
Lex was more the end your face kind of guy who shows his obsession with Clark, and investigates. Whereas Lionel seemed intrigued in a non-obsessive way but an a admirable way if that makes sense.

Like I remember when Clark saved Lionel and Martha in the "Insurgence" episode, and of course Lex wondered how did everything happen and Lionel basically is like it doesn't matter, they are saved, That's all that matters.

Lex obsession with Clark turned him evil and made him jealous.
Lionel's curiosity of Clark actually turned him completely opposite.

I never looked it at that way before. Yeah, Lex was more obsessed, whereas Lionel was more intrigued.

You'd think Lionel would have acted the same as Lex, I guess the saying 'like father, like son' didn't apply to them.

Well people could make a case that Lex was probably secretly in love with Clark.

I just felt Lex was too obsessed with a high school farm boy that I started becoming wary of where Lex feelings truly lied. lol
I think found it strange. lol

Well, to be fair to Lex, his obsession only stemmed from his curiosity at how Clark saved his life when he knew he hit him with his car at high speed. But yeah, his obsession did become a little too much.

Lex obsession with Clark almost ruined the engagement. lol
