When I look at Lana's relationship in Season 2-3, her relationship with Whitney doesn't seem as bad as I recall.

He was a jerk to Clark for sure. But then he suddenly somehow turned a new leaf in Tempest by joining the Marine Corps. He then died a hero.

He actually changed pretty quickly. He did that thing in the field but I feel he turned like episode 5ish.

When I re-watched it, I sort of understood Whitney a bit more.

The reason was because you remember that bug boy who was stalking Lana? Yeah Whitney didn't like him either and thought he was creepy. lol So, if you think about it, his intentions were good since sadly Clark was a bit stalkerish as well.
Like appearing in the graveyard when Lana was talking with her parents, looking at her with his telescope.

The only difference was that Clark wasn't evil and we knew him.....

The one when Whitney told Clark to watch over Lana. That scene always rubbed me the wrong way. Whitney/Lana are just high school sweethearts... he acting like they were married or made a huge commitment or something. Lana was like 15??? lolol

It was just too much for me.

Oh yeah, that one! Yeah, that never made much sense. And Whitney was a couple of years older than her wasn't he? The thing is, it was hard to believe that they were all under 18. For only being supposedly 15-16, they were pretty mature for their age. I guess it was hard for the writers to remember that they were only supposed to be 15.

Actually I forgot. I think they were all about the same age but he left to go to the military.

And I agree, sometimes the writers forgot how young these characters were really suppose to be. lol

Yeah, especially with Clark 'cause Tom was 24 at the start of filming, that's 10 years difference! Kristin and Allison were only about 18/19 but they actually looked mature for they're age, so it was hard to make them be only 14. Not to mention, at 14, Lana took ownership of the Talon (with Lex's help of course) but she was taking care of a lot of business stuff, I honestly don't know how she juggled that and school!
