Re-watching Season 1 and 2x01 episode makes me appreciate Pete friendship to Chloe even more.

Pete really does love Chloe, there are moments that shows it like the moment he ask to be her date "as friends" in the Pilot, and when he was under that influence... I forgot what it was... he seemed jealous of Chloe/Clark's relationship however, why I appreciate him more is because he never really told her his feelings because he wanted Chloe to be happy, and he knew that would be with Clark.

Even though he probably wish she could've seen him in the way she saw Clark.

I mean even when Clark decides to just be friends with Chloe, it seems like that hurts Pete because all he wants his Chloe to be happy.

Talk about selfless.

Yeah, I totally loved how selfless Pete was over that situation too. He knew how much Chloe had feelings for Clark and knew Chloe would probably never reciprocate his feelings for her. But I do often wonder if he had told her. Maybe Chloe would have felt differently after, especially when she knew Clark only ever truly had eyes for Lana.

Actually I thought about that very question while watching the "Crush" and "Cool" episodes. Chloe never felt that no one wanted her.

And she felt sort of rejected in that way. In the "Cool" episode that jerk Sean asked her out on a date and she knew automatically that he was probably playing some game on her and he was and didn't call her back.

But she was going to instantly forgive him and give him another chance.

But of course he was infected by Kryptonite and in Crush, her old friend Justin came back to town and admitted to having a crush on her and admitted to never acting on his feelings out of fear, and Chloe gave him the chance and kissed him and everything.

It felt like she was ready to move on but of course another nut.

So, I feel that played part of why she didn't move on... and jumping into the future a bit. I feel that during Season 5, she still sort of liked Clark romantically but Jimmy was her first sexual encounter and she had a friendship with him so she was ready to jump back into a relationship with a person who actually saw and liked her, and eventually after a long relationship, she learned to grow to finally love him.

Which I felt could've happened in the past with another person who treated her well and actually loved her which Jimmy did at the time.

Now back to this Pete, Chloe and Clark thing.

I feel in a way it would have Pete admitting his feelings to Chloe earlier would've made Chloe more understanding to Clark feelings for Lana.

Because she would understand more how it was to be on Clark end, being in love with someone else and being blinded by the other person's feelings.
Chloe was completed into Clark that she was oblivious to Pete romantic feelings, because Pete was terrific at hiding it.

Clark was oblivious to Chloe feelings because all his world could see was Lana.

So, in a way I feel it would've put things in such a different perceptive for her.
