I think more news would probably help.

I like the mods on this board dedication to keeping the board alive though. I know sometimes it has been tough.


We are at 13.4! We just keep posting the way we have for these past days then we will be okay.

Aww, thank you! This board has had many mods over the years, I've been modding here for three years now! We had more posters back then and a lot more going on, even though we didn't have much news back then till late 2013 and spring last year. I have a lot of fond memories here and I'll always love Tom so to keep this board alive is very important to me. Since I joined back in 2010 our number of posters dropped and if it wasn't for my co-mod Rebbecca (Becwelling) joining when she did, Steph and I (my ex-co-mod at the time) would have probably been forced to voluntarily close the board as it was just the two of us posting regularly at one point. This board has had it's ups and downs but we've always come through.

Yeah I know it's tough to really keep posters around. Sometimes people just grow out of stuff, real life catch up or change of interest. If only people from other social networks came more over here that would be nice.
I am happy that you are trying to keep the board alive though.... although I know you can't do it by yourself. You and Rebecca can't so it would be nice if more people could come over to this board for you won't have to be forced to close this board down.

The average is 13.8 right now. just two days to boost this count, hopefully we can do it.

I've tried getting fellow fans from our twitter page, a couple did join but aren't used to forums or what to do. I've tried for 2 years! I really think it comes down to the fact that Tom has been out of the limelight for nearly a year now, and whilst I am friends with a few other dedicated fans through twitter and other online social media but they're mostly too busy with they're own Tom pages, either websites or other stuff. We do have over 700 followers and when I started the page I would plug our board to almost everyone. To really no avail, perhaps most people there aren't the forum type? If something doesn't start to happen soon, I fear I might not be able to keep it up, unless we can think of another way to draw in fans.

I'm gonna go to the mod board right now and request help on the slow board thread, should help the last two days to bring the average up to 15.

It's really difficult, I've been useless lately as I have had so much on. I think it's as you say a lot of people aren't used to forums, and with Tom being so absent lately it's really hard to keep repeating yourself, I will try harder though and Liv you really can't try any harder, you do a fabulous job!

In the meanwhile, I hope that we get some new Tom stuff and eventually the old fans return and new ones come along.

Also this board is finally averaging over 15 post for the month! so we are officially off he hook... for this month at least and I will get the board official start count September 1st... just so it's easy to keep track of the average.
Thank goodness we had the average tracked this month or we probably would've been below the count by the end of the month.
