I think for me with Ruth, I wasn't sure what songs she would release and I just couldn't imagine listening to her music really. And sometimes her voice was a bit shouty for my liking.

I think Ruth could easily do a rock/power ballad album, I love that kind of music, and most people I've spoken to say they would buy anything she might release.

Even my mother said all she heard all day from people was "Did you watch The X Factor on Saturday? That was a shocking result!" etc etc, it's certainly a talking point.

I want Diana to go next, she sounds like cats being swung off a wall IMO.

At least listening to Eoghan doesn't make me want to rip my ears off just to make it stop.

What did everybody think of Britney? I was severely disappointed! And Dermot said she was singing live when she blatently MIMED! Shocking! I so wanted her to do well.

I totally agree. Her voice isn't amazingly strong like Alexandra but it is unique. I think she would sell really well aswell.
It's something people are not use to so they reject it.

Britney looked good and that was about it. I was SO excited for her singing and then she didn't sing. I wasn't that suprised though, she never sang when she was at her best either. She mimed a whole concert save two songs. I wouldn't mind if she was dancing but..

It was cool seeing Britney back on TV but gosh, sometimes it looked like she was just about remembering to mime!

I would've understood if she'd have been doing loads of dancing like Same Difference were, but she was just walking round for most of it really. Oh well! As you say, she's not exactly known for singing live!

Well, I liked Brittneys preformace better than Mileys...but thats not saying much

. I love Brittney's new song, never expected her to sing live so I wasnt shocked at all when she mimed. I did expect more dancing from her, but at least it was better than the VMA's I suppose

I was just excited to see Britney on TV at all, so I didn't really bother too much about her performance.

And I don't like Miley Cyrus as a person, but annoyingly, I can't help but like her music.

I could not listen to an album of Diana, sweet girl, but I'd be stuffing my ears after two songs.

I think her performance in the Britney portion of the show was actually quite good, but my god, she utterly butchered the best REM song ever IMO.

Wow, it is amazing how different people's opinions can be, it's great. Although I thought Diana's 'Everybody Hurts' was absolutely amazing, I was near tears.

Agreed. I thought it was amazing.

Miley has so much energy when she performs, she gives her all. I think that is pretty special.

Singing live or not, I love Britney!

I have a friend who says Everybody Hurts is one of her favourite songs ever, she said she was also near tears after hearing Diana sing it as well, but for an entirely different reason than you.

I do love diversity of opinion.

I thought Diana did a good job with Everybody Hurts! Definitely better than I'm Not a Girl IMO. I think she could've done a good version of Everytime.

I get different opinions but I don't get how people can think she can't sing? It's beyond me, for sure.

Will Young was on Paul O'Grady today, they asked him about his favourite on the X factor and he tried to act impartial lol but pretty much said Diana was his favourite when Paul said she was his.

Oh right. I think Diana's got such a different voice, it takes some people longer than others to warm to it. In some cases a lot longer...

Yeah, like Simon said in the 1st week. I always look forward to seeing what she's gonna do during the shows.
