Oh she's cancelled? ...Just googled it and apparently it was never actually confirmed that she would perform.

Alex is gonna sing with Beyoncé!!! Yayyy! I was hoping they'd sing together!

And JLS are now gonna be with Westlife apparently.

I didn't even know Rihanna was going to be on, it's really annoying that she cancelled though

Alex or JLS to win, don't really mind. I can see Alex going furhter though

I've heard what the single is and I'm so upset because this is one of my favourite songs of all time, and I hate to see it used like this.

I was a bit iffy with the single choice at first. They both did a great jobs (I must say I really wanted JLS to win after there preformance), you caint beat Jeff Buckleys version IMO though.

I think Beyonce actually stole the show tonight, I dont like her new single but she was amazing!

SO glad Alex has won. I think JLS are great but Alexandra was so amazing tonight IMO!

Her performances totally gave me goosebumps.

I wasn't sure how good of a Winner's Single Hallelujah would be, I thought JLS' version was a tad repetitive..but Alexandra's was amazing!

And yeah Beyonce was brilliant, especially in Listen!

My verdict - Alexandra was most talented of the finalists, she deserved to win, but to me she's just another Leona Lewis. Even her look and mannerisms were identical. I just find it all rather same-y.

And all the crying and hysteria at the end didn't make me emotional, it made me cringe in my seat, so OTT and cheesy.

On a positive note, Ruth and Alex are BFF's and Ruth wanted her to win so much, so I'm happy in that respect.

I'm not denying Alex her success or anything like that, she's just not my cup of tea personally.

I don't see her as another Leona. I think her voice is different and equally good in its own way. And aw, bless her crying so much! I cringed for her when she was crying at Beyonce.

But at the end she did just seem genuinely overwhelmed.

She clearly wanted it so badly.

I can get on board with that much emotion if I genuinely feel something for the person involved, if that had been Ruth I would still be a sobbing wreck myself.

But I felt no connection to Alexandra and never have, she was just there to me, so I just found it all a bit embarrassing.

I don't dislike her as a person, there's just always been something about her that I couldn't take to right from the beginning, I can't really explain it.

But my mantra for tonight was "anyone but Eoghan" so I can't complain too much.

Im soo glad Alex and JLS were the top 2 and Alex did deserve to win (eventhough I wanted JLS). Alex was amazing. But all the crying was just cringing.
JLS were good but i am not liking aston singing all the time - its annoying.
Let ortisie sing more and the rest of them.
I did not like their westlife performance.

I completely agree, that's how I felt with Alex. It's just I feel she can't compare to Leona and never will.

I did feel as well she over milked it a bit, at the end so even my Mom who liked her was a bit

I don't like the single, for me it will never come even anywhere near close to Jeff Buckley's, everyone knows that is the best version ever done.

The thing that got me with Hallelujah is how they did that big 'kick in' bit at the end, the song doesn't do that and I understand they are doing their own version, but I felt it wasn't keeping the whole point of the song, that it is simple and doesn't need that. I was upset they did that.

I totally said that to all my family. I mean they have heard the song, but I don't think they understand how amazing Jeff Buckley made that song, they was like why are you so annoyed? I was like this is one of the most amazing songs ever and she is going to over do it.

I felt they should have kept the Hallelujah song, simple and beautiful as it was. But, Alex kind of ruined it for me. JLS did a good job on it, with the choir.

I didn't feel Alex's crying after her win as sincere, no idea why. I would rather have JLS won. Anyway, good luck to her. I'm sure JLS will make it on their own.
