Reality TV - What's your favorite reality show and why?

My favorite is The Amazing Race. I like it because elimination doesn't rely too heavily on alliances. I also like seeing the world and places that I will probably never visit. It's fun to watch people race through airports and landmarks.

My second favorite is The Mole, the real version, not the celebrity version. I like the whole idea of the game...and Anderson Cooper.

My top 2 reality shows are the same as Jenna's but they may be reversed, I think. I always say that if I was eligible (non-American citizen here) and the regular version was still airing, I would definitely apply to go on The Mole.

I love The Mole because it's not necessarily a physical game but rather a mental one. I've always loved puzzles and mind games so the tasks they had to do were right up my alley. And I love The Amazing Race because you get to travel and see the world and the tasks are rather exciting.

The Amazing Race for me also. I started watching it last season when there seemed to be an abundance of dating reality shows (which I don't really care for). So that was a breath of fresh air for me. I prefer the more competition oriented reality shows where you're doing stunts. The Amazing Race kind of reminds me of what Fear Factor would be if it has the same people on for several weeks (they did that once with couples which was really cool).

Other than that, Fear Factor is my next favorite. Like I said above, I love the competition stuff. Plus it's always amusing to see just exactly what they can get people to eat on a weekly basis.

I like the competition/stunt shows a lot too. I've never been able to get into most of the dating shows (I did watch Joe Millionaire and Temptation Island) but that's just me.

I've never seen Fear Factor. I think it would be too gross for me.

I don't really like the dating shows either. The exceptions would be Joe Millionaire, For Love or Money and Paradise Hotel.

I watched Fear Factor for a season and then had to stop. The middle segment aka the eating/gross segment was just too much for me to handle.

I absolutely love The Amazing Race...by far the best Reality tv out there.

I would have to say The Mole, and The Amazing Race. The Mole is great in my opinion because I am stumped the whole way through as to who is really the Mole. I always change my mind and I'm never right. I wish TAR had real 'clues' instead of just a piece of paper telling them exactly where to go. It seems there is very little to figure out. Other than finding the place or finding some landmark. They should make the clues more like a riddle. But I enjoy watching them race and se different countries. Also, see how they start to change after not much sleep and constantly in a hurry.

I have to say even though some seasons have been really boring I wasn't that intrested until Survivor came out. I just really like the concept of a group of people stuck on a remote location some where and plotting against each other to make sure the sole survivor and win 1,000,000 dollars. So Survivor is my favorite reality TV show.

aww I miss the real version of it. I never missed an episode cuz I loved it so much

. But to answer the question, my favorite is The Amazing Race, as other people said too. I love that show because it's fun to watch all the teams do the tasks, and because all of the places they show are real, they're not just showing tourist destinations or something. Another of my favorites is actually Big Brother. It's interesting and keeps me occupied during the summer when there's a serious lack of good tv most of the time.
