UPDATED POST COUNT INFO

Fan Forum has a new system to do post counts.

instead of me [Jerry] doing an initial post count on one Sunday, and doing another post count three Sundays later and dividing by four to get the weekly average for the boards, we now have a program that can do a post count for an entire month, and then compute the average daily number of posts for that month. Therefore, with this new system, each message board here must have an average of 15 posts a day in order to remain at Fan Forum. 15 posts a day equates to 105 posts a week, or, in a 31 day month, 465 posts a month, which is as mathematically close as we could come to the 100 post per week requirement that we’ve had here for a number of years now.

If we don't average 15 posts a day, the board will be closed.

They tested this in January. We had 731 posts for an average for an average of 23.58 a day. The first official post count will be in April for the month of March and from what I understand, they will be done every month. That means we can't slack off when many of our shows go on hiatus during the summer. Steph and I don't have access to the program that does post counts the new way so we'll continue doing them the old way, keeping in mind that we now have to hit 105 instead of 100. If we're allowed, we'll share the official totals with you when they're released.

I guess on March 1 we should probably start that day as the first day of our week. Until then we'll continue the way we have been, with counts on Sundays.

It's looking like FF's server problems were a main reason we were so low before, but posting more doesn't hurt. I don't know when they're going to do an official count - and I don't think they will tell us - but things get pretty slow around here in between seasons of Survivor, TAR, etc.
