I thought I'd start a thread for this show instead of just discussing it in the Summer 2005 Reality Shows thread. Anyone else watch this show?

Thoughts on last night's episode:

* I LOVED what the team did to the Cotton Club. It definitely felt like it was the real thing back in the 30s. I'm glad they won.
* I cannot believe how blatantly homophobic Julie was. And I cannot believe that she actually brought it up at the Style Forum. Why would you mention something that makes you look like such a horrible person?
* Princess is crude and annoying. I really can't stand her.
* I also can't stand Shauna. What on earth has she contributed to any team so far? And I really don't understand what she had against Elizabeth either. I actually really like Elizabeth.

Random thoughts on the show in general:

* I don't like how they switch the teams up each week. It's really difficult to get to know anyone and distinguish them all from each other.
* I also don't like how Tommy just randomly picks two people to step into the pit or whatever he calls it. Why did he pick Chris S and Julie? Why not anyone else? He needs to explain himself better.
* I don't have any favourites right now - just people I don't dislike as much as others.

Oooh, I really like this show. I didn't see the whole last episode, so I can't really express my thoughts on it.

I thought the Cotton Club was a lot better than Studio 54. Studio 54 looked boring. I liked the guy who was out of style though.

I like Elizabeth a lot, too. I don't think she's going to last long with those other two women ganging up on her. At least they switch teams every week so she has the chance to get away from them.

I liked Chris S too. He should've known better than to keep insisting that he had a hand in desiging everything especially since his team lost. He should've known what Tommy was doing.

I'm surprised James is gone. I thought he was pretty good and he carried the team this week. Sure, they lost, but he can't help it his team wasn't very good. That fault is Felix's and he abandoned them. I think the team picker shouldn't be allowed to go on these excursions. They're the unoffical leaders.

I had to laugh at how dejected Princess looked when they lost. She looks that way every time her team loses and it's funny.

I just realized why I hate Shauna so much. Her mouth doesn't move when she speaks. Her lips do but the rest of her mouth doesn't.

Tommy isn't one to talk about social skills. He is so rude. He doesn't let people finish their sentences before interrupting them.

I agree - team pickers shouldn't be allowed to go on excursions. And has anyone else noticed that Shauna ALWAYS goes on these excursions? Sure, she may have good social skills but how is this going to benefit her ability to design for Tommy? She's rarely stayed with the team during these tasks.

The way Shauna talks annoys me too. And her teeth are SO grey! It's distracting when she's talking.

I was hoping Tommy would've gotten rid of Felix. It was irresponsible of him to leave his team like that especially when they were down a person. Plus, like Tommy himself even said, he has really bad social skills and that should've trumped James' performance this task (which, IMO, was pretty good considering the circumstances).

I think the team picker went on the excusion last week too. I don't like those anyway. They seem pointless and the person who goes is usually safe, no matter how badly they screw up.

Who's gone this week? Was it Jeff? I just watched it last night or the night before and I can't even remember now. I don't think either band wanted to be styled. They just wanted to be on TV.

Yup, it was Jeff. Can't say I'm too sad about that. He was SO annoying and useless.

I don't think the bands wanted to be styled either. I have to say I really liked that tie skirt. I don't think I could pull it off but I liked it.

I liked the tie skirt too. I would wear that.

I don't mind about Jeff either. As much as I don't like certain people (Deanna, Shauna) they do contribute more than he did. I agree with him that it wasn't fair though that there weren't enough band members to go around. Maybe there really wasn't much left for him to do. He was gone anyway though. It was just a matter of time.

I hate Deanna so much. Really do. I loved how confident she was and then Tommy hated the plane. She still won but at least he hated it. I couldn't read "Tommy" either. I knew what it was supposed to say but I could only see the T, one of the Ms and the Y.

I like Elizabeth well enough but she's been sick a lot, as has Shauna. One of them should have gone because missing an entire challenge is really big. If you can't contribute, you need to be out of there. It's not like Elizabeth is a top candidate on her team anyway. Just a few weeks ago she was bitching because someone else (Jessica?) missed the challenge but she had participated while she was sick.

I really hate Deanna too which is sad because I started off really liking her. I also really hate Shauna and I want them both gone. I still like Elizabeth but she's starting to get on my nerves as well. I really don't know who I want to win this.

I really didn't like either plane just like I didn't like either billboard. It must be tough to design AND paint a big huge plane in 48 hours though. I don't really see what was so wrong with the one team hiring professionals to help them. If it's not against the rules then it's fair game.

I guess we're the only ones watching the show or the only ones who care enough to discuss it. I don't see what was wrong with the team hiring professionals either. Both teams have been hiring people to help them in a lot of the tasks. They did have 1 less person. Deanna's team acted like they had no help at all, which wasn't true.

Don't forget it's moving to Friday next week.

Thanks for the reminder on the day change. I liked it on Wednesdays though.

I just read that Big Brother's Beau was on last week's episode. He was one of the people sitting down when Princess first arrived on the yacht.
