It Takes Two - Australian Stars Singing

Denyer takes hosting gig
The forecast for Sunrise weatherman Grant Denyer's career is bright and sunny. Fresh off his Dancing with the Stars victory, Denyer has stepped into the role of host on the Seven Network's new reality series, It Takes Two.

It Takes Two follows a similar format to Dancing with the Stars, pairing celebrities and professional vocalists for a singing competition where the winner is decided by a public vote.

"This is my first chance to host a massive project by myself," Denyer told the Sydney Morning Herald. "It's another step up obviously and I'm really looking forward to getting under way."

The celebrities revealing their singing talent (or lack thereof) on It Takes Two include model Kate Fischer, cricketer Michael Bevan and Australia's Next Top Model host Erika Heynatz.

The series premieres on the Seven Network in June.

Who's going to watching this show? I am

Sunday's 6.30pm on Seven

I hope they pair Guy & Paulini with somewhat decent celebrities, so they have a chance at being on the show longer.

I can't wait to see those two! Especially Guy.. since I haven't heard anything from him in ages.

I'm dying to know who they're going to pair Guy with! I'm really hoping for Kate Ritchie cos together they'd be pretty popular. I'm guessing they'll pair the oldies with oldie singers & vice versa. Least I hope so. Well, if you look at the below link, the odds are there..it's an even scale in terms of ages.

^ It doesn't show you who's going with who, but it does let you know the full lineup. I don't even know half of them.

HAHA, that was AWESOME tv. Guy & Paulini got paired with duds but it'll definitely be entertaining to watch. Guy was bloody fabulous, I've missed him!!

Kate [Ritchie]..dear Kate. Thank god for the public vote cos she'd be outta there in the early rounds if not for that. She was a darl to watch though, I just wanted to give her a hug when she finished cos it was over & she was obviously relieved. She's my "personality" vote. Haha, Terasa: "You're coming 4th!.." Kate: "Yeah after 4 couples!".

Judy Nunn & partner were probably the most entertaining. The jazz hands, oh my! That made my day.

Song choices were pretty crap overall.

Predictions...um, that old Richard "Zac" guy out first.

Anyone else think the co-host looks / has similar mannerisms to that Chloe chick from Smallville? For the longest time I was trying to remember who she reminded me of.

I had no idea who Terasa was (I know Grant mentioned she's been in "Lost", but I don't watch it) until partway through last night's show when it dawned on me... she used to host "Agro's Cartoon Connection"!

A weekend paper in Sydney reported that Erika Heynatz has been taking singing lessons for years, including at the Conservatorium of Music, which I don't think is fair for the other competitors. Still, it was pretty funny to see an opera singer trying to channel Robbie Williams

It was an OK show, but I switched over to the ABC at 7:30 to watch Peking to Paris instead.

Gee, that wasn't a surprise at all last night. After Kate Fischer gets the boot [which I guess will be next week] it'll probably get interesting.

Hee. Guy is adorable.

Mark wasn't too good this week, he should have sing instead of playing, it was kind of loud.

Kate R got better

Kate drops footy player

August 04, 2006 12:00
Article from: The Daily Telegraph
SHATTERED Rugby League player Chris Walker is nursing a broken heart after his soap-star girlfriend Kate Ritchie called off their five-year romance this week.
In a dramatic sequence of events that would rival a Home and Away plot line, a devastated Walker this week split from the Melbourne Storm and fled to his family home in Queensland to seek comfort and guidance from his parents in the wake of the break-up.

While the TV starlet was unavailable for comment yesterday, sources from the Seven network confirmed the relationship has been heavily strained since Walker was removed by police from a Melbourne hotel where Ritchie was staying two weeks ago.

"I knew things were very rocky, so I was surprised to hear Chris saying this week that he and Kate were still in love and very much together,'' a Seven insider said yesterday.

"It's no surprise that they've broken up.''

Summer Bay veteran Ritchie - whose shiny profile was elevated with a silver Logie win earlier this year - is understood to have been fed up with Walker persistently living up to his reputation as the bad boy of league.

Despite its longevity, their union has been fraught with difficulty - with the couple enduring several public break-ups over the years.

Currently left stranded without the love of his life or a football career, Walker is expected to spend the next few weeks recuperating in Queensland with his parents.

Meanwhile, consummate showbiz professional Ritchie will be forced to plaster on a smile when she takes to the stage in the It Takes Two finale on Sunday night
