Commenting on what abw92 said in the last thread. I completely agree. Most of the time, we never know about dancers personality. After this show, they won't be on TV every week. A lot of the previous SYTCD dancers are at concerts where they don't talk like the musicians who have to interact with the fans. Some dancers go dance at stages where there's hardly any interaction with the fans. I don't care about personality for dancers. I care about brillance.

I`d have to disagree with this. Maybe it`s because I`m apart of the dance world and I see the drama and pitfalls that arrogance and cockiness brings dancers when they think they are the best. It drives me nuts, just because God graced you with a talent and you had the good sense to harness it and work at is does NOT excuse a bad attitude, I`m sorry.

In the world of dance, I was always taught that you should never mistakingly think you are the best because there`s ALWAYS someone better. I think someone should tell Danny that.

Okay, but this is a show for America's favorite dancer. Personality is huge. If it were just dancing brilliance, Travis would've won last year.

I disagree. Travis was a lovely dancer but depending on the type of dance they were given sometimes Benji was superior. Also, much as I loved Travis I don’t think, since he’s not a out there was Benji that he would make as good Broadway dancer since that energy has to project to the back wall.

I’d have to agree with Serene_Ray. I work in theatre and diva attitudes can squash a production faster than anything else. To boot, most dancers never achieve the kind of celebrity that allows them to really call the shots, so he should learn to check the arrogance now lest some chorography doesn’t want to deal with him. When I was stage managing once I heard the director tell the cast “no on here is too good to be replaced” and that’s really true. I’d hate to see someone with such a big head continue on much further in SYTYCD.

I really think the guest judge summed it up perfectly “you dance like you already think you won the competition” There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and I have never once thought that it was anything besides superciliousness that fueled Danny on. I’m not disputing his beauty because he is a very talented dancer but that doesn’t excuse his behavior, at least to me.

Travis should have won last year!!! GAH.

I think personality matters when you are choosing your friends. BUt in a dance competition, I think technique and style and versatility should be the most important things. Im not gonna vote for someone because they hae a great personality, im gonna vote for someone that is improving and doing well each week with the DANCING.

I cant stand Laceys personality, but she deseres to be there because she is good.

I loved both Travis and Benji last year. I don't think that Travis was more versitile. He did bad in his first ballroom dances. When he was partnered with Heidi, he did better ballroom dances. I think Benji was the more versitile one. He did great with every style, not just his own. That is why, in the end, I was cheering for Benji to win. The both have great personalities and that is a bonus.

I agree with Dorkodancer147 if I were eligible to vote, I would vote for the dancing rather than personality. The personality is important, but the dancing is more important. IMO. If personality was more important than someone like Cedric could have ended up winning the competition.I also don't get arrogance from Danny. I think he is very confident in his dancing and he should be.

I think Lacey deserves to go far in the competition because she is a great dancer who has shown great versitility. Her personality is a bonus IMO.

No one is trying to take away from the fact that you obviously have to be an incredible dancer to do well and more importantly to win in this competition. There are PLEANTY of amazing, versatile and sickeningly talented dancers who ALSO happen to have great personalities who are both humble and down-to-earth.

Dorkodancer147, I`m sorry you feel that Lacey has a bad personality, I can assure you she doesn`t. She was a real sweetheart to me and my friends the two or three times we met/saw her a couple years ago.

I do think that personality is important in a competition like this, I'm not saying it more important than the dancing or anything but I think its pretty even. You can have the greatest technical training but if you can't connect with the audience you won't win. I think Danny lacks charisma. I find it funny that Danny and Travis are brothers since I really liked Travis last year.

I don't really Kam and Lacey either. I think they are both really good dancers but whenever they dance together it looks like Kameron is doing so much less than Lacey and that really isn't fair to him. So, when it comes to this couple I'm looking forward to them being split.

I used to do ballet and I have known my fair share of arrogant dancers. But still I rather watch good dancers than people who flop around the stage. Sure there's always someone better, but Danny is the most technically gifted dancers out of all the contestants in all three seasons. Sometimes a little bit of confidence is needed. I know that most stars would not be where they are if they don't have confidence in themselves.

Charisma is so subjective. I hate people who mug for the camera like Lauren. I hate when dancers look more at the audience or the camera than their partners during partner dances. Or when they smirk at the most inappropriate times.

This seems an impossible divide. I don’t think anyone here is disputing that Danny is a lovely dancer, but some people don’t like him because of what he’s shown on the show. Perhaps we should all agree to disagree?

I completely agree with what you said about confidence, but there`s a fine line between being confident and thinking that your God's gift to someone as vast and broad as the world of dance.

I`m sorry but I`m extremely turned off by dancers who are blantantly arrogant, cocky and/or disrespectful. And to me Danny is all of these things. I`ve noticed it from the beginning of the season and it hasn`t changed yet. Brilliant dancer? Absolutely, but who wouldn`t be if they danced for American Ballet Theatre at the age of 15? However, that does NOT excuse the attitude in which he entered this competition with. And for that reason alone, I guarentee he won`t win.

Just because Lacey was nice to you does not mean that it is a fact that she has a great personality. IMO, she doesnt. I just dont like how she acts each week. I think that when shes not announced as being in the bottom she is way too overjoyed about it. Its kind of disrespectul to the other dancers to cheer and dance around. I didnt like her comments when they were interviewing her. She was bragging about having won more awards than her brother like she was trying to justify being in the competition even though he had already won. And then she makes the dumbest faces when she dances that get on my nerves. I hate how she bosses Kameron around in rehearsals as well. I just dont like her.

Someone also mantioned how Lauren is a camera hog, and I completely agree. She seems like such an attention seeker. She tries to hard to be funny and likable and cool in front of her partner Neil. Lacey acts similar in my eyes, and thats why I dont like either of them.

But like I said, for me, it doesnt matter. IF you're good, you're good and Lacey is.
