I was thinking about this during the dances on Wednesday though: Not any one of these dances have been spectacular. And I think it's a combo of the dancers and the choreographers. It's really kind of sad. None of them are memorable. I haven't liked one dance a lot this season. There isn't one I'd watch several times over. It's kind of

I am SOOOOOO happy that Karla stayed. Part of me would have loved if Caitlin left so that Karla/Jason could dance together.

I know shameful. It's not that I don't like Caitlin. Actually I do agree her solo was by far the best out of all the dancers. However I would have disagreed with the assessment of Karla's solo. I don't think that it was that bad.

I'm sad that Asuka left. She was great. I don't know it was hard because I really didn't want any of the girls to leave. I personally would have dumped Jonathan and Vitalio but what can you do? You must have male/female pairings

Actually I'm sooooo over Philip Cheeb and the fact that the voters are keeping him in on a likability factor. His dancing has been subpar since he's debuted and it's not getting better. It's frustrating.

And as much as I think Kayla is a great dancer, I'm getting tired of the pimping of her. Part of me is wishing the judges would be more critical of the dances. The dances last week could have used a lot more critique.

I'm not shocked about Jonathan leaving but they should have kept Asuka she was my second favorite female this season. I'm saddened because she left but Jonathan had to go he wasn't getting any better.

Not sure I will like them together too. Vitolio is a talented guy but I just can't see to care much. I get nothing from him. With Karla I'm not sure... I wanna see how she does. I like her but I like the other girls more.

Yeah, its really sad because there are so many pairings that IMO have potential to be better than the ones we are given. Some I would like to see are:

Brandon/Karla, Brandon/Kayla, Evan/Karla, Evan/Kaitlin, Evan/Kayla, philip/randi, jason/karla, jason/kayla, kupono/kaitlin.

But I dunno, really I just dont think any of the people have much chem with each other. LOL. I'm ready for next season.

and if I had my way, this is the order they would leave each week:
Vitolio/Kaitlin
Jeanine/Philip (I like P, but hes not good enough)
Melissa/Kupono
Ade/Randi
Jason/Jeanette

Karla
Evan
Brandon
Kayla - Winner. (Now, this is all subject to change and probably will, but as of now, this is where I stand.

Caitlin's solos are fantastic. Just...amazing. She's one of the best girl solo dancers I've seen on the show, tbh. Nobody's solos have been that good since S2 for me.

I was very happy to see Askura go, never liked her. I didn't think she even really deserved to be in the top 20.

I would have rather seen Vitolio go then Jonathon, but I wasn't too upset about that. Again - no real connection there.

I agree, jayta. The Kayla pimping is quite ridiculous.

I would love to see Evan/Jeanine be paired up!

Honestly, this season hasn't been great. But I think last season sucked way worse up to this point than this season has. It took FOREVER for last season to get good at all for me, so I still have faith in this season.

Not sad at all to see Asuka go. She was annoying and had no emotion when she danced. Not sad to see Jonathan go either.

I am starting to like Karla a lot. I thought she did great in the hip hop routine and I love her solos, a lot.

I'm not a huge fan of Caitlin. But her solos have been really great. I thought the one this week.

Loved Brandon and Janette's hip hop. So great!
Loved Kupono and Kayla's Viennese Waltz. It was beautiful.
Loved Melissa and Ade's Rumba.

I liked Randi and Evan's routine but I wasn't a fan of the choreo.

^ i agree with your three loved performances! those were easily my top 3 and i agree about randi and evan. i liked them but that choreography was just not good, imo.

i'm hoping in the next week or two the dances will get a lot better than they have been! i'm hoping it doesn't take as long as it took last season

Even though this late here is what I thought about this week:

First of all, like most of you, not loving the season so far. I really dont have a stand out couple or dancer I am really rooting for at this point. They just aren't standing out to me, imo.

Brandon & Jeanette: Loved this dance. I thought brandon was awesome in Hip Hop, especially since its not his genre. I thought they were both great

Asuka & Vitolio: I didn't like it. It lacked chemistry to me. It didn't feel rocker to me either. Asuka had no personality, it almost seemed like she was lifeless. I did like how Vitolio was in the intro, he was so supportive. It was sweet

Evan & Randi: They make me smile. I like them as a couple but I didn't like the choreography. It seemed so simple and it didn't jump at me. I expect better from Mia.

Karla & Jonathan: They definitely struggled and it wasn't good at all.

Jeanine & Philip: I thought this was cute. I really liked the number. Jeanine was more theatrical, which Philip should have been, but overall both did a great job.

Jason & Kaitlyn: I am a little bias because I don't like Kaitlyn. She is not good in a dance other than a solo. Everytime I watch them Jason just looks like a stronger dancer than her. I didn't like the paso, overall. I can't pinpoint exactly what it was, I just didnt like it.

Melissa & Ade: I thought they had great technique and it was an okay dance but i don't like melissa. She just rubs me the wrong way I guess.

Kayla & Kupono: It was alright, not the greatest but okay.

Brandon/Janette, Philip/Janine and Evan/Randi were the only three I really liked this week

Thursday:
not at all upset about the eliminations. Even though I like Jason and Karla is okay, all 6 could have gone home.

I don't know what it is but I feel like the dancers aren't trying hard enough, imo. Many of the dances have no personality/chemistry and the timing is off in a bunch of the numbers. Some of them don't even follow through their moves to the end. This season just bugs me, I hope it turns around.

Oh my gosh, I hope Evan and Jeanine both make it to a point where they end up being paired up because I think they'd be fantastic together.
