I'm not too upset about either elimination. I was shocked that it was Max over Kupono, but at least it wasn't unanimous. I really thought Max's solo was good for what you can do with ballroom solos.

But I am excited to see how Kayla and Kupono do together! I think they'll be able to get a bigger following together than they each had with their other partners.

SO glad Jason stayed too. His solo was phenomenal.

I'm not upset about the girl's elimination at all. I never really had an attachment to Ashley. But Max I'm sad about.

He didn't even deserve to be in the B3 couples. He & Kayla did so good this past two weeks. So I'm disappointed. I would have much rather seen Kupono go. His solo was awful.

I thought Caitlin's solo was one of the best I have ever seen on the show since. Normally the solos - for me - suck and are all about who can do the most tricks but I didn't get that at all from her last night. Very impressed.

I agree completely. He is so endearing, and I think he`s an amazing dancer.

I was pretty impressed with her solo as well. It wasn't my favorite thing in the world, but it was a heck of a lot better than Ashley's. She didn't do anything.

And yeah, that was just not good at all.

Even though I love Lil C right now, I can totally see that happening. Mary Murphy was the same way, imo. When she first started the hot tamale train and the screaming a few seasons back, I was not bothered by it, but now I can't stand her. I think she tries way too hard and all of her screams are just annoying to me. It's great that you are excited about a dance or like it alot, but i think what she does is a little over the top. is it a coincidence that Shane Sparks two directed dance #'s put the dancers in the bottom? Come on, bring Tabitha and Napoleon back, please!

When Nigel said, "well there isn't a whole lot you can do with ballroom solos being a ballroom dancer..." and then let Max go?
Wow does that ever give a lot of faith to the ballroom dancers that try out for this show. If you were going to do it by the numbers, Kupono should have left because it would leave more ballroom people in the competition.
That just bugged me.

When is Mia gonna judge? I am just waiting...

My mom can't stand Lil' C. I don't really mind him, but he can be annoying.

I don't think we can only blame Shane for that though. The dancers did not bring their best to those routines by any means.

Not that they were my favorite routines in the world, but they could have been a lot better than they were.

Shane >>> Tabby/Nabs -- those definitely weren't Shane's best routines, but I cannot stand more of their literal choreography.

I think I'm in the minority who loved Ashely -- I wanted the extension overload to gtfo. I like Kayla, but Caitlin has no personality to me...I'm just not making a connection. I personally loved the musicality of Ashley's solo.

I hated Kupono's solo, but I am so glad he's safe. Max just didn't have charisma to me.

I adored Jonathan and Karla's routine. That song just makes me emotional to begin with, but -- as Mary or Nigel said -- the two definitely had an honesty within the performance. They came on my radar for the first time.

I like Shane. Although they weren't my fav dances of his, I liked the choreography of the two dances he did wednesday night but they just weren't danced at level they should of been.

ITA! I am in that minority too! I liked ashley. I thought she had potential and did a better job in her routines than some of the other girls imo. I think she could have gone farther.

I liked Ashley, but I don't think she did enough in her solo to stay. I think she had great musicality and personality, but she didn't have enough technical elements in there.

like, Evan/Randi is the best one there, IMO. But even them I dont feel a huge pull to.

None of these pairings make me feel the way I did when watching Allison/Ivan or Chelsie/Mark. :/

I dunno, I just cant wait for the partners to be split up.

As for max, he was kind of lacking charisma. And I cant stand Kaitlyn for some reason. She just bugs me. i dont think shes good.

no kidding. Why does every dance have to have a "story". And, its always the same thing anyway. LOL.

They aren't the best pairs in the world.

Evan/Randi is easily my favorite pairing. And I like Philip/Jeanine together too.

But I have to remember that it is still early and hopefully next week they'll have more developed chemistry.

No its not just you. I always thought that the show matched their couples pretty well, some not so good, most with chemistry, and then a few that were electrifying to watch. (Alison/Ivan, Chelsie/Mark) Even most of the top 10 in season 4 had good chemistry with each other, imo. This season not so much. I agree with Evan/Randi having a decent amount of chemistry. I also think Philip/Jeanine have the potential for great chemistry. Let's hope next week things start to turn around for the better.

I don't understand why she was promoted to a permanent judge in the first place, I really wish she wasn't. I would like to see her as a choreographer again. I liked a few of her dances in seasons 1 & 2, especially the Ashlee/Blake samba and the Heidi/Travis Paso Doble
