If anyone has any arts they`d like to contribute to the thread to pretty it up, that would be appreciated!

WTF??? Are they kidding me with this?? because I vividly remember Danny and Neil doing solos filled with tricks and this is just ridiculous. I mean Chris..?? come on.

this season is just a major dissappointment and I hope that judges(Nigel) stops making rules along the show.

I know. Neil and Danny were made of tricks.

word. Why don't they just make rules of 'DOs and DON'T DOs while doing a solo' and make sure the dancers fully understand it. Because keep changing rules just to justify their decision is getting really old. It almost seems like they pick a person leaving regardless of the solos because of some cheap/superficial reason and make up some ridiculous reason to cover it up.

That's pretty much how I feel too. Occasionally they present valid reasons for booting someone, but more often than not it's just a bunch of excuses. A person can have a good solo, but because they are not 'progressing' or their personality is 'blah' they are cut. A person can have a bad solo, but because they have potential... or were good up until that point they are safe? And now we have a new one to add to the list...if you are good in the group dance(ie. Comfort) you are safe. Personally, I did feel Comfort's solo was better than Susie's, so it wasn't necessary for Nigel to layer on the the group comment to justify the decision.

Now, i liked Neil and Danny but they both did plenty of tricks. And I think they commented on Neil's "gymnastic" background once but he didn't get booted off because of it.

But you gotta realize the people who left last night should have gone. They just weren't putting it out there enough. I'm not that sad they're gone.

There's not a lot of people or pairings that I'm liking right now.

Although I have to say that I've grown a fondness to Katee/Joshua. Of course that might change. But in the end, I think the judges have their 'favorites' and are trying to put them up there.

At this point, I'm just trying to enjoy the dances. That's all I want. I don't really care who wins. I just want to see amazing dancing and the dancers to lay it on the line. And I don't feel half of them are doing that.

I was happy with who left, I thought that those two were the ones that would be going.

I knew as soon as Marquis finished his solo he would be the one gone. There was no dancing in that at all. It was trick after trick after trick and his transitions weren't good. Especially that one point where he kind of just stopped for a second and looked like he forgot what he was doing. Although the other two guys didn't do as many "great" things as Marquis did, they actually danced and had good solos. Nigel has said time and time again that doing all tricks won't get you anywhere so Marquis should have known that before he went out and did his solo.

I personally never felt that Danny's solos were not full of tricks. Not one of them, and the judges never commented on that. So to say that Danny was applauded for trick-filled solo's last season is a wrong statement IMO. As for Neil, yes in the beginning of the competition when he had to dance for his life his solos were chock full of tricks. But the judges DID say something to him. Multiple times actually, he wasn't praised like crazy for it. As the season went on though equaled out the tricks out with dancing and his transitions got much better. Then he was applauded, which is how it should be.

I'm not about to take sides with the judges because I do feel that they change the way they eliminate people on a week-to-week basis (and that drives me nuts) but ignoring the reasons that they gave I think the correct two people left. As much as I can't stand Comfort, she has overall done better then Susie. And Chelsea is definitely better then Suzie. Same thing with the guys. I did hate how Nigel said that Comfort stayed because of her performance in Shane's routine (because that's kind of like a luck of the draw type thing) but I believe that there was more behind the decision of her staying then he led us to believe.

I`m okay with Marquis going. I do understand what Nigel was saying about tricks. Now, a couple of tricks are fine, as we saw Neil and Danny showcase last season but doing trick after trick after trick without much purpose and flow in between just looks sloppy and ill prepared.
Yup. That's what I'm sayin' too.

That's how I feel. Neil's solos were full of tricks and yes they commented on it like once but they never kicked him off because of it. They didn't even give Marquis the chance to improve or work on it. Marquis' solo was better than the other two tricks or not, just my opinion. Chris should have gone.

I feel like the judges already have there top ten picked out and will do anything to get it. Like that BS reason to keep Comfort (duh she's gonna do well in the group dance, its her style), her solo wasn't great. It's obvious the judges have their favorites and will pimp them all the way into the top 10. Sucks for those that don't make the list.

This reminds me of auditions when they cut that really good male dancers because they thought his personality was cold. I would have been able to buy that if they didn't put Danny through to Vegas and then into the top 20 because at that point he had the personality of a brick wall. They never even gave that guy a chance.

And it might be me but I find Kherington kind of annoying and I thought what Mia told her about her smile was valid. She smiles in everything.

IA about Kherington's smile, it bugged the heck out of me in her audition.

I think the whole thing with the judges is they want the dancers to have the whole package, technique, personality, and showmanship. So they're going to weed out the dancers that are maybe strong in one area, but not another.

This season has a lot to live up to because last year was amazing, so its either going to go down the tubes or be even worse. I really hope it doesn't turn into American Idol. Blech.

I didnt see S/M making it that far, but I thought they deserved to stay a bit longer. At least M did.

Nigel freaking calls the shots and he loves Comfort, so there you go.

and im sorry, but Chris was HORRIBLE. I still see no personality. He is a tree. And his solo was BAD.

Regardless of the tricks in Marquis's solo, I think he should have stayed over Chris. And I like Chris better than him usually. But I think Marquis's solo was miles better than the routine Chris did.
