I thought Lex was brilliant to come up with turning on Colby and getting rid of him. Although it may have been a bit too early and they will probably miss his strength on the team. I wonder what Kathy's reaction will be since she had no vote. If she's smart she wont go on and on about all the wonderful food they had. That tends to annoy the hungry people.

I thought it was hilarious when Rupert was teasing Jenna L. while she tried to hit the golf ball and kept missing. 'I'll get you, ball!'

Jeff said something about the merge "IF or When" hmmm...what if there ISN'T a merge?? Maybe they need those power players in there.

Ohh, that'd be tricksy tricksy.
What have they done so far?
A true regular merge, a live on the island but not a merge, ...

Something about this season makes it less special to me. Maybe I was rooting for Rudy all time time and he got kicked really early and so I lost interest, but I still keep on watching. I've really loved all the Survivors so far, even when my friends say, "Oh, another one?? " I guess I don't have a big favourite now that I want to win and root for.

Anyway, I don't quie like Boston Rob that much. He's not exactly player player but he is a player. I mean what was up with his alliance with Rob C? Ugh.

Ethan is no longer as cool as I thought he was. He really sucks at the challenges and he has to stay cool if there's a long lead in front of them or vice versa.

Jerri... well, even if Shii Ann says she complains and talks a lot, I think she's a whole lot better than Outback. I kind of even started liking her this season! Though I still think the chocolate with sex is kinda iffy I really hope that Amber and Jerri make it through, they probably will, and see what happens then. I mean, Amber followed her every move, but then in the post Survivor follow-up, people said it was the editing. It probably was, but there had to be a base to it.

Kathy probably is my favourite contestant right now. She's super smart and conniving and just really kind. She better make it to the top four unless other people kick her out, but I don't think so.

Eh, those are the people who stand out (or stand in) to me this season.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Survivor being on Wednesday? Maybe it is because I always have Thursday off and am around to watch it. Tape delay Survivor just isn't as fun.

Well, I've added another reason to not like Rob. He is such a jerk. He goes out to catch fish just like Rupert, fine, he proved he's a fisherman too. Big whoop! But he was basically mocking Rupert about it. You could tell Rupert's feelings were hurt. I cannot wait for his arrogant, cocky butt to go home.

Sad to see Ethan go, but I am surprised he got as far as he did, being a former winner and all. And see Lex, Ethan did leave with grace and style. What was your point?

For some reason Amber is growing on me. I am really starting to like her. It was kind of funny to see her and Jerri paried off on the log roll.

Looks like they are drawing new buffs next week and moving the tribes around to even them up. It'll be interesting to see how that works out.

I found that funny too I wish they would say something to each other. It reminded me when Elisabeth and Amber faced off and they're basically twins, in terms of body structure. I think Amber won that one as well

Erg, go home Rob! He's such a jerk. I mean does it matter if you catch more fish than Rupert?

I'm very excited for next week's episode. Mwee!

So Mogo Mogo bombed out on both challenges. Is anyone out there surprised? That's what happens when you sabotage your own team by voting out the strong people. And Jerri over Ethan?? Even though I criticized Ethan for his incompetence, he at least has some physical skill and doesn't get on people's nerves like Jerri does. Will there be a merge next week to save them from themselves? Doesn't look like it from the preview.

I didn't like Cathy's comments about Colby being booted. She basically blamed him for holding the team back because he didn't trust anybody. This from the same woman who's main priority was to form a women vs men alliance when they first set foot on the island and had no shelter or food. That right there was a bad omen for how Mogo Mogo would fare. Teamwork has never been a priority for them.

I did feel bad for Ethan. Getting stabbed in the back in Survivor is common...but getting stabbed in the front is new. I thought Lex's "friendly little boot chat" with Ethan prior to Tribal Council was pretty demeaning.

I think Amber is a lot like Dara from Pearl Islands. Dara had no personality and did nothing. Then BAM, she became aggressive and started winning challenges. I wouldn't rule her out.

See I was rooting for him from the beginning even though I knew he wasn't going to win. Then I discovered he was dating Jenna M and I was like ewwww then I was like I hope he gets voted off. After refusing to watch last nights episode what do you know he got he booted.

I do not want Rob or Amber to win they are soo annoying to me. As soon as its possible Alicia is gone cause Rob hates her. If she is smart once the merge happens she should ally herself with members from mogo mogo. Jerri may not be as bad as her first time around but being lazy is not the way to win. Or is it? I would like Rupert to win but thinking realistically, he is to nice to win. I wouldn't mind seeing Kathy win or Shi-Ann. But we will see what happens.

lololol Yes they do need saving. Bad choices from the beginning.

I don't think they needed Colby's strength in either challenge. Strength meant nothing in the RC; Alicia's obviously much stronger than Shii Ann, and yet she still lost to the little Shii Devil. Twice. And physical strength doesn't improve aim, either.

That said, retrospect is 20/20, and speculation will do nothing. Whether or not Colby would have done well at either the RC or IC is moot.

Lex did what he could to save his own hide long-term, especialy with so many variables up in the air.

ETA: Survivor is on Wednesday next week, and it's a recap. But it'll be back on its regular schedule on, erm, April Fools' Day. (How apt if MB and Jeff pull another fake merge on them.)

That is so true. I just want to say that not only here but people elsewhere on the net have said that Ethan didn't to win because he didn't do anything. I say maybe that was his strategy from the beginning to fly UTR. I think thats a great strategy but very risky. Players could easily see someone not contributing and get rid of them. If the other players are too dumb to get rid of someone if they are not pulling their weight then thats their fault. I may not want Rob to win but if the rest of them don't get rid of him I say more power to him if he makes it to the end. If I could get on that show, do enough to stay in the game and not make anyone mad at me to win one million dollars I would do it. Some of the winners weren't the most conniving but they did outlast all they others. They all won for some reason. The jury could have easily voted for the other player but chose them. Jerri may seem like she is not doing anything but she is still there. If she wins I will say you go girl. There will always be controversy about the winners but I say they all did something right to get there.

True. But speculating is fun I still think Colby could have fared well in the log roll based on his physique(and no, I'm not referring to his hunkiness ). If you noticed, the people who were too heavy or tall, disproportionate or too muscular had problems on that challenge because that extra weight/height works against you when gravity pulls you down. Not surprisingly, the players who were shorter, thin or had symmetrical body frames fared the best. It's no wonder Chapera sat Big Tom out...with his weight and height, gravity would have rolled him right off in a nanosecond.

Lex is shrewd but he has not impressed me at all in any of the challenges. He looks mediocre and unenthused out there when competing. So I guess I can understand his desperation gameplan about "knocking off the strong guys quickly". The only problem is...there are plenty of strong guys in the other camp he'll need to contend with once they merge. How is he going to handle that? He'll probably try to swing more female votes to his side but that will be hard considering everyone is trying to get a girl on their side as an easy alliance. And that stategy is just so boring. I'm tired of seeing female Survivor players serving no purpose other than to be a "swing vote". Even though I don't like Alicia, I have to admire her for being more physically aggressive than the other women.

I have a sinking feeling Shi Ann is going to go far just by being agreeable.

I have that feeling too. But I agree with Colby in that she doesn't seem to do much of anything. All I ever see her do is agree about who she is told to vote for. She does nothing for me. Off with her!!

That sucks, next week is a recap?
