I still think this season has failed to live up to the All-Star billing. Just redefining the word "Pagonging". Woo hoo we certainly love a good Pagonging. Burnett needs to figure out how to fix that for 9 & 10. Perhaps just have the entire 16 start as a merged tribe. Alliances would be flying EVERYWHERE and people would go nuts to start. Although strong people would be targeted early they would have to win immunities to ensure their staying.

I liked the idea of 3 tribes to start but it really didn't do much to avoid a Chapera dominance in the game.

Well i think we can all say that the alliance between Rupert, Jenna, Rob, Amber and Big Tom has now been full-filled. I think that's why lately the show has been so predictable. It's because the five person alliance made it so obvious as to who was next to be booted off.

So now that this alliance has reached what it promised, i think the show will get interesting. Because its time to see who's gonna backstab who, which mostly likely will be Rob... even tho i like the guy. But anyway... who knows... i just can't wait to figure out what this huge twist is at the end.

I sort of think that Boston Rob and Jon (Pearl Islands) equal each other out about how annoying they are and smart by playing their tribes. Because it seemed like even though Jon was annoying his teammates, they never voted him off.

As much as I enjoyed seeing Shii-Ann getting kicked off, the tribe is stupid for letting Boston Rob go again, they are giving him way too much power and I'm surprised for it being All-Star Survivor that they aren't smart enough to see it. If he winds up winning this thing (which I don't think is likely) I'll be one pissed off fan.

Is anyone else looking more forward to Survivor IX this fall more than the end of this one? Just hasn't done it for me at all. I dont know what I was expecting but it has just been far to predictable.

So there is gonna ba a survivor this fall. I was wondering since TAR starts in July and will last 3 months I think and since that airs on thursdays it would cut into survivor time.

TAR will probably end right before Survivor starts in the fall.

I don't know if it's just because I'm a Boston Rob fan but I'm loving this season. Honestly, I hadn't watched Survivor since season 2 (and parts of season 3) but when I heard they were doing All Stars, I was curious to see it. And I haven't been disappointed at all. Yeah, there have been a few predictable boots like Lex, Kathy and Shii Ann and to a certain extent Ethan and Jerri but that's just because Lex felt the need to tell them beforehand, otherwise those could have been made very suspenseful. I'm also definitely looking forward to seeing the end of this. I don't see how it is predictable what's going to happen now. I'm spoiled and I still have no idea how it's going to end, I'm not even sure who the Final 2 will be. But I can kind of understand how you feel. I don't know if I would have enjoyed this season as much if Rob wasn't in it.

As for Survivor 9, like I said, I stopped watching a long time ago. I might tune in for the premiere and then decide but most likely I won't watch it.

I've watched every single season, and i've got to say that this season i am really enjoying. the last season that i cam remember that i really enjoyed watching was season 2 in australia. Despite all those who say that All-Stars is dull and boring, I've actually found it entertaining and I can't wait till the finale to see who goes home with the million.

I just read a very interesting interview with Jeff Probst and he seems to suggest that the "big surprise" happens during the reunion show rather than in the finale:

Quote:
Question: This spot that I'm seeing on CBS, about the Finale, "A Surprise So Big, It Will Stun Everyone, We Guarantee It." Is this network sweeps promotion or does something big really happen?
Jeff Probst: There's a pretty good reveal on the live show. I don't write those promos but we are going to share something on that show that I think is certainly significant, completely unexpected and will have people talking.
Hmm, I'm really curious as to what this might be. He also talks about who played well and who didn't. Basically, he says that he expected more from Rob C. and that Rupert seems like he's not really playing. He liked Shii Ann and he's pulling for Boston Rob to win. Another interesting thing that he reveals is that it was impossible for anyone to get fire on the island and the producers knew that so that's why they did that challenge when they gave all the tribes fire. He also makes fun of Rupert's shelter and discusses the situation with Richard and Sue a little bit. He also mentions that this will be the most honest and emotional Final Tribal Council since the first season.

Lastly, he talks about Boston Rob and his strategy. I know a lot of people have been saying that the players are stupid not to vote him out and JP says that he'll find out on the reunion show how he did it.

Quote:
Question: How did Boston Rob make it this far, how did he become a king?
Jeff Probst: I don't know. The one thing I want to talk about at the Live show is did he have alliances with everybody. Did everybody think he was their ticket to the final 2. Either they are living in fear of him or everybody thinks "I'm his true partner". That could be the only reason. It's been a long time since anybody had the cajones to stand up and say "I'm going to dictate this game and I'm going to do it with this girl under my arm and nobody is going to stop me". We're down to the last few people, Big Tom, Rupert, Jenna have got to be thinking... who's it going to be. We typically have one last immunity challenge, you could win it, nobody could stop you from then on out. 5 and 4 those are critical. 5 is really critical because it's an odd number. That's when people have to make a move to stop this guy. Personally I'm pulling for him. I like how he's played.
If anybody wants to read the whole thing, it's here.
