i love paris and nicole there so funny and cool there my rolemodels

i dun know hwy do many people hate them because the seem really nice

i think most people hate them because they wish the was them

who else loves the simple life 1 and 2??

I watched the first series, but personally, i was laughing AT them rather than with them, cos damn, they are dumb bimbo's...

I Like Nicole a lot better than Paris- who just comes across as a vapid, self centred dumb airhead. But then again, i hate anyone who flaunts themselves with no regard for others, but thats just IMHO...

I like Nicole so much better than Paris as well. Nicole brings the comic relief. I can't stand Paris, but I put up with her to watch this show. Some of the things Nicole says to people just cracks me up. I saw a commercial where they are working at a funeral home and they are interviewing an old couple, Nicole asks...so which one of you plans on dying?

They are both stunned to hear that.

I wasn't planning on watching this show, but I accidentaly caught most of today's premeire, and found it quite entertaining! I can't wait to see them take on other jobs.. should be interesting...

I watched the first half hour and I think I'm done. I just couldn't get into it for some reason. Those were some really big dogs!

I saw it and liked it. The only thing is I know they are acting and sometimes they go a little overboard I think. But still, it's pretty funny. And that Indian guy

E! News reported last week that the former BFFs are so on the outs that Hilton is trying to convince Fox suits to recruit Kimberly Stewart to costar with her on The Simple Life 4.

Stewart, rocker Rod Stewart's daughter and a fixture on the L.A. party circuit, showed up arm-in-arm with Hilton to an Us Weekly event last Wednesday and dropped big hints about the impending Simple Life shakeup.

"We've known each other since we were in our moms' tummies," Hilton told E! at the party. "When you're with your friend you've known your whole life, you totally trust them. We just act like sisters...we have fun."

When asked about her rift with Richie, the hotel heiress was diplomatic.

"You know, I've had three great seasons [on the Simple Life]," Hilton said. "I love the show, and I just want to freshen it up and make it funnier and bring new things in," she said. "It's going to be a big surprise. And everyone is going to be very excited and happy about it."

With Hilton reportedly ready to be paired off with a new Simple Life lady, Richie would, per reports, get her own reality spinoff, a Newlyweds-esque endeavor focusing on her life with soon-to-be hubby Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM.

Richie was also at the Us Weekly party Wednesday, supporting her fiancé who was spinning at the bash, but declined to talk to reporters and did not talk to Hilton. Her publicist has so far refused comment on the rift or her rumored new show.

And Fox suits aren't saying anything specific about the possible Simple Life switcheroo. However, the network did issue a statement alluding to potential changes.

"We are currently discussing internally the creative direction of the next season of The Simple Life," the network said Thursday.

"We are huge fans of both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and look forward to solidifying our plans for the next installment of this fantastic franchise in the very near future."

There have been various rumors regarding the nature of Richie's never-to-be-uttered sin against Hilton. The leading theory, and our personal favorite, concerns a prank gone bad at Paris' sister Nicky's apartment, where a group of pals had gathered to watch Paris' Saturday Night Live hosting debut from February only to be surprised when someone (Richie, perchance?) swapped out the SNL tape with Hilton's XXX One Night in Paris.

Reports have been swirling since last summer that Hilton and Richie were on the outs following some off-camera meltdowns while shooting the second season of The Simple Life. E! Online's Party Girl detailed one incident from a September 2004 Maxim party in L.A. where Richie and her crew picked up the "Reserved for Simple Life" sign propped on her table, threw it on the floor, then stomped on it.

Hilton and Richie downplayed any animosity, though, eventually signing on to do the currently airing third season of their fish-out-of-water hijinks, The Simple Life: Interns.

Interns debuted with the series' best-ever ratings--13.3 million viewers. Although those numbers have steadily declined in recent weeks, the show averages a still healthy 10.2 million on Wednesdays opposite ABC's new hit, Lost.

Fox has enough confidence in The Simple Life to move the show to Thursdays starting next week. The scheduling move, to last just three weeks, will pit Paris and Nicole against final episodes of NBC's The Apprentice and CBS' ratings powerhouse CSI during the May sweeps.

I personally feel like Nicole makes the show. She is the funnier one. I don't really see it as Paris Hilton and her sidekick Nicole. I see it as Paris and Nicole. Sometimes its just Nicole that I watch fore. Kimberly stewart is funny as well but I prefer Paris and Nicole together.

Yeah I agree about Nicole making the show. It's so funny how when the show started it was Paris Hilton and Lionel Richie's daughter, Nicole and now Nicole's her equal.

And as for Nicole "knowing what she did"? What, does Paris mean Nicole becoming just as popular, if not more than Paris?

I'd love it if Nicole's new show did better in ratings than the new Simple Life.

The thing I heard was that Nicole was tired of Paris getting all these deals and she wasn't getting any so she threw a party for Paris to celebrate Paris's SNL gig but when the lights went out and everyone was set to watch SNL, Paris and Rick's sex tape started to play. Paris was really hurt and THAT'S what she meant by: "Nicole knows what she did."

I've been a fan of TSL since the first season, but I haven't really paid much attention to the show lately. I probably watch the first episode of TSL 4, but after that I probably wont watch it anymore. I think that Nicole is more entertaining then Paris and Nicole has matured a lot over the last year or so.
