I'm not a b****, but if Coral (we are talking about her, right?) has the guts to be loud or whatever, then more power to her because I could never be.

That she is rude and annoying, especially when she didn't have to be? Yes, and THAT I don't like, in fact, if you look some old posts (tho the MTV board is gone) you see I didn't defend her position.

But I'm talking about certain situations where to get your point across you're going to have to step up or get left behind.

It's all good! I just think she's evil.

She can be uneasy, a lot.

Another thing I wanted to say about the second episode is how Frankie brings out the hidden parenting skills on people. She seems to have that vibe and the roomies respond to that and want to take care of her. Maybe if it was another person everyone would be like, "just deal! get over it."

But no, they want to pet her.

Blah to last nite's episodes. They actually had a little more substance than the premiere did so that was good.

Did anyone else laugh when Robin was talking on the phone and she said "I room with Frankie, it's a girl" and then "there is a brother up in the house, Jacquese, I can't say the name." It was horrible! ...but my friend and I couldn't stop laughing.

The ignorance in the first episode totally pissed me off, and I hated how Randy, Robin, Brad and Cameran had a pow wow after Robin said the "n" word in front of Jacquese, she was totally right though, they should've been comforting him and not her - that part irked me. I was suprised that Brad actually stood up for Jacquese though... definitely didn't see that coming.

Lots of Love!

I've only watched bits and pieces of the first two episodes and so far my favorite RW'er is Frankie. I don't know why, I just her. The guys are all cool in my book..I just don't know too much about that one guy, not J (whatever) or Brad, but the one who was in bed with the female either last night or the week before. Can't remember his name or the any other females name but Frankie.

^ Randy and Robin are the two that went to bed together. Randy seems cool, but I'll need some more time to warm up to Robin.

Frankie seems cool too, she's different... her phobia of big boats got old really fast though and I don't know how she'll handle the job that they've been given.

So far my favourite if Jamie. We've seen very little of her, but the little that it's been I've really liked her.

Lots of Love!

True that, but not my point. Robin and Jacquese's argument had all the same overtones and connotations as the one Kevin and Julie had. It was about race. Black vs. White. They couldn't relate to each other because they weren't the same color. Granted, we find out later what triggered Robin's outburst, but still, I believe the root of the disagreements were very similiar.

Ah, thanks for whomever answered my question. I thought Robin said that she got raped by a black man, but I wasn't sure.

Here is the thing about Robin's "supposed" rape though.

We don't know ANYTHING about what really happened (this is why I say supposed) and as sexist as this sounds since I am a guy...

From what we've seen of Robin's behavior (party girl; Coyote Ugly employee) it might not be as black and white -- no pun intended -- As RW is portraying it in that as nasty as this sounds... She might have been asking for it if she had been drinking and things just got out of hand OR perhaps it was consentual and she just didn't like how it turned out (for lack of a better word) and in her mind labeled it a rape to make herself feel better.

Obviously, rapes happen -- to people of all races. But my point is consider the source. Like I said, we don't really "know" Robin... But if she is 22, gets in fights with Marines, drinks, dances on bars... Again, consider the source.

I think THIS aspect was totally glossed over because everyone was trying to be politically correct and the way they edited it was mainly for the shock value AND to get some "Awwww Robin" moments going... But in the REAL WORLD (again, no pun intended) even rape isn't as simple as it sounds is my point.

I really liked Tuesday's episodes. It was nice to see the house actually talking about racism and dealing with it. I don't really like Robin and how she acted, but I'm guess I'm sort of 50/50 with her. I'm proud Jacquese stood up for himself and made the group understand the awareness. Randy is way to good to be with Robin like that, but it's his choice.

Did Robin say she was raped by a black man? Or just raped, and she didn't mention the race? I honestly couldn't understand her through the crying.
I didn't understand why she was crying either. I understood that she was raped - and raped by a black man even though she never really came out and said it.

When I was watching RW: NY, I didn't like Coral, but after watching her on the challenge I don't think she's as bad as people let her to believe.

Heathyr- I agree with you about Randy, Robin, and Jamie.

I couldn't understand her either, I heard her say she was raped, but that's all I could understand.

She said she was raped by a black man.

And all I could think was "wtf does that have to do with anything?"

If I were raped by a white man, I wouldn't hate white men.

Robin came off as a racist idiot and I can't bring myself to watch this season anymore.

People ask me why I dislike the south. This episode affirmed my reasons and I'm pretty damn happy being a yankee.

SheSpeaks I agree some of them can look like they live on a bubble. It's darn annoying their ignorance of the modern society dynamic but it is not their fault. Though they are at an age where they should know better!

People have feelings, that is no secret.

The thing that really bothered me in episode 2 was that in the end they made it seem like it was all wrappped up in a neat little package. And if it is any kind of package there's a bomb inside just waiting to explode.
