| I'll probably watch no matter what, I always do. I just hope this season turns out to be semi-interesting but who knows. One of my friends actually tried out for this season but they told her right off the bat that she didn't fit their "type." I didn't really see why, she could've been the virgin sorority girl, hmmm... plus she's interesting as hell - but hey, whatever [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img] Lots of Love! | Shame on you, guys! Doubting "THE" quintessential reality series that started it all [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] Seriously... I caught the premiere tonight and I suppose I'll stick with it for a while since Rich Girls is no longer on and Newlyweds hasn't started its second season yet (which is coming). Although, whenever I ask this, no one ever asnwers: Do you think maybe the reason you guys are sick of the same old thing (people partying, getting drunk and hooking/breaking up) is because YOU have all matured and want something MORE than what MTV and this show offers? As much as you guys maybe don't want to admit it, you ARE getting older -- a lot of FF members have literally grown up and gone through high school, college and now the real world -- And perhaps, these shows just don't appeal to you any more because your tastes and sensibilities have matured? Hell, I'm 30, and I *know* these shows MTV puts on aren't geared toward me... But I like some of them nonetheless because they entertain me... But again, my point is that acknowledge this and have come to terms with it so to speak. Just curious... | |||

| yeah i saw the premiere of real world tonight and i was totally hooked on it. lol i think it looks really entertaining i think i am goign to like this season alot!!Jacquese was so nice and genuine i was like wow a real quality guy on Real world lol!!! yeah and true about ppl getting older so they are growing out of the show since they arent young and think its funny or entertaining anymore im with you on that im 17 and still find it really funny and enjoy watching real world!!! | |||

| Elite Fan   | I caught the premiere last night and i thought it was a nice introduction to everyone in the house. I immediately noticed that there isn`t a gay person in the house, which is very rare for the Real World. The ladies in San Diego are obviously overall hotter than the ladies in Paris. My favorite of the hottie currently would have to be Jamie. Judging from what i`ve saw she seems like a lot of fun to hang out with. I can`t wait to see what happens throughout the season, especially from what i`ve heard on the net and saw on the preview for the upcoming episodes. As for whether i`m among the people that are sick of seeing the same old thing with the people getting drunk and partying, i watch a little less of it as i`ve gotten older, but i still like watching much of it. Although i have to say that i much rather be partying with at least one of the hotties. Also regarding the desire to see the roomies doing something worthwhile besides partying, i think it could happen in an episode, but other than i don`t see it happening since we all know that more partying and fighting = ratings. __________________ Join the movement Buffy, Angel, Bones, OTH, Gossip Girl and Twilight fans and vote for Dollhouse or go to hell! | If this is the "Real World" where are all the ugly people? These people were like devastingly gorgeous. And where are the gay people? They showed a kiss between two of the girls in the house but I don't think that counts. I think Robin may be... And is the new thing this season to get arrested? Did everyone catch that? It's like well blurred out porn and alcohol just aren't doing it anymore so let's get the cops involved. And Brad? Brad is like the Joe Millionaire of the bunch. He's definitely stupid enough. I'll quote him, "My sex life has never taken a hit that hard". | I never really thought about it much but, ok, maybe I am maturing somewhat. [img]smilies/pout.gif[/img] It's not that I mind the party scene, I think it's just that sometimes they seem to be trying to one up each other. Who can be most outrageous. Frankie seems like she's going to be a crying mess the whole season. They showed clips of her missing her guy, and you saw how she freaked out about possibly making out with Brad (?) was that his name? I, for one, don't believe that she doesn't remember that. I think she is just regretting it so it's easier to act like she must have memory loss. [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] I mean really, why would she go on and on about wether or not something happened unless she felt guilty? She also needs to quit smoking!! I don't recall much about Jamie. She's either quiet or not deserving of a lot of airtime. I liked Cameran until she kept hinting that Brad should take a break from his girlfriend. Maybe it would have happened eventually, but it was a 5 year relationship! She needs to butt out and wait until he's available. Overall it wasn't as bad as that article had made it out to be. | My favorite Real World season is still probably the original New York series, the very first season. That season had little drinking and partying and more substance. And I was 12 or 13 when it was first aired, so I don't think it has to do with maturity. I definitely agree that MTV could do a much better job picking the cast. The only season of the past 4 I really liked was New Orleans. Most of the people they choose are a-holes who love to argue and pick fights. __________________ When people get the opportunity to talk about the real issues, it becomes clear how vacuous the present agenda is.
