I don't whether this reality TV or a Music subject , but I put it here because anything by MB is reality TV.

Is anyone planning to watch this ? AC/DC and Van Halen successfully replaced front men. Can INXS do the same thing reality style? Personally I think it's a huge order to replace Micheal Hutchence. I'm just watching because one of the the finalists is from my hometown. It starts airing on July 11.

It's fine here in Reality TV.

I'm sort of undecided about this show. I'll probably watch at least the first couple of episodes but I don't particularly like that they're auditioning for (what was) such a great band on TV. It sort of cheapens the band and Michael's memory, you know? But like I said, I'll probably watch anyway.

I'll watch the first episode but I don't even watch American Idol anymore so I don't know that I'll stick with it. I'm already watching a lot this summer.

Were INXS that big in the US? I like them a lot and have the greatest hits CD in my car at the moment but they were already has-beens by the time Michael died. I hope this show isn't a disaster but I have a feeling it might be.

The show didn't too well in its premiere. I'm hooked anyway. I'm rooting for Ty and Jodis (did I get her name right?) as far as talent is concerned, and Marty and Brandon looks-wise (and they're pretty talented too). Wil is cute but he's not so good.

For some reason, I'm not really liking this show. I watched the first episode and a few minutes of the second but it's not really capturing my attention. Plus, the fact that it's on 3 times a week is a deterence. I already have so many other shows to watch.

I agree, but I also think 3 times a week is too much. Once a week is enough (for AI too - multiple airings is one reason I dumped AI). I love this show though. I don't think I'm going to be able to see every episode but I'll catch as many as I can. The music is so much better AI's.

I'm still having trouble telling everyone apart but there's no one I hate yet.

Personally, from now on, we can skip the first episode if you're not interested in the behind-the-scenes. Although, I do think that the behind-the-scenes stuff colors who people will and won't vote for... for example, after the first episode, I couldn't stand Susie, so even if she comes up with a good performance (which INXS and Dave seem to think she did), she still lands in the Bottom 3.

And Wil leaving was expected, I guess.

Is that the Monday episodes? I'm not interested in all that behind the scenes and I don't vote, so I might skip it. I don't want to miss any performances though.

I like that the band really seems interested in helping them instead of tearing them down. I guess that's because they have to work with whoever is picked.

Performances are on Tuesday and I'm guessing Wednesday (for elimination) as well. What I don't know is, are they eliminating two people a week or was this week's double elimination used to get the ball rolling?

I am also a big fan of the band, so I care about who will be fronting them, I loved Michael.

I still don't know most people's names. I liked the guy who performed the Franz Ferdinand song. Sometimes I just like people because I like the song they perform though -- if they do a good job.
