Watching this for the first time and I can't stop crying. Gah that airport seem was heartbreaking and just seeing everything Ryan is going through. He's so strong.

It's definitely obvious Baya was struggling though it all. I think she's just filled with so many emotions that she didn't know what to do and that's why she ended things.

Hey guys, after reading the comments on my page, I wanted to clear up some things for all of you. Since "Return To Duty" was taped, Ryan and I have split. I still hold him in a completely special place in my heart and care for him more than I have words to describe. We are just two very different people going in different directions. Romantically, it didn't work out.

I am getting TONS of emails filled with love and I can't tell you how much I appreciate that! You all are amazing and I can't describe in words how lucky I feel to have the support and kind words that my fans provide.

As for the people who think I was "distasteful" on the show, I understand that too. I see how you may feel offended by the things that I said... that absolutely makes sense to me. War is such a personal thing for so many people and with such controversial issues, it's easy to take offense to something I said and you are absolutely entitled to that. Keep in mind that out of hours of footage, only small clips were used; there was much more to certain statements that weren't aired. I would defend my words further, but the fact is that Ryan and I went through a lot in the time since The Real World and none of it was shown- what you see is only a fraction of a glimpse of our time together.

In the end, I don't think any of you are wrong for feeling angry with me or disliking me now for the things I said. What I hope is that you remember we are real people, going through real life issues-not characters on a TV show. My voiced concerns were and are real, I am dealing with life and learning, just like all of you.

I appreciate all of your thoughts... you are ALL amazing and I will make sure to check back more often to keep you posted on what's going on in la vida de Baya!

I completely understand the situation but still very dad they couldn't last. I guess it will be interesting to see what happens when he comes home.

Does Ryan know how long this deployment is expected to last?

he should be coming in the beginning of next year. not exactly sure what month.

She does have a point. They are both young and she's not a tv character. I understand 'em both.

Thanks! I just watched the end of the special and it said Feb 2010. It can't come soon enough.

Very true, they are young. I'm just interested what it will be like the first time they see each other once he is home.

Random but when he said that each day that passes by is one less day he has to be there, I just thought about One Tree Hill.

IKR? Feb. '10 needs to get here already. They should have another special when he comes back.

I hope they can work it out when he gets back. He did say he will be living in NY so, that's a start.

You definitely need to see it! I had pushed it off because I knew it was going to be really depressing. But i'm glad I saw it. There was a lot more w/ Baya than I thought so that made it more depressing.

To be honest, even though they flirted during the show I never actually expected them to go out and wouldn't have thought they would have made it as long as they did, so that in itself was a surprise to me.

Ryan posted a new "ask Ryan anything" video and he answers a lot of good questions. One of them was whether he and Baya were still together and he said they weren't and that they were never going to be together again. Makes it seem like it ended badly...

In other news he said he's looking at schools in either NYC or Philly. I'm from Philly so I'm hoping he moves to Philly and then he and I can start dating!

yeah i just dont like that she said they didnt work romantically because it pretty much confirms theyll never get back together and it wasnt just bad timing. sad.

i really want to see ryan do the mtv challenges someday cuz i need him on my screen again!

Ryan posted on his twitter last week that it was 40 days until he left Iraq. I know it felt long to him but I can't believe he only has 40 days left, that's so great!

Also, Ryan and Baya aren't "following" each other anymore on twitter, the true sign a relationship is over, lol.
