I watched it! I thought it was a good first ep. A lot of those dresses were actually really good! I loved the creativitiy of the plastic cup dress and the vaccum cleaner bag dress.

I'm watching, for sure! The girl that won had a really awesome dress. And the guy that lost... omg.. that was awful, it looked like she worked at a meat factory or something

Or like she was about to commit murder. Those yellow gloves were awful.

Oh yeah...that "raincoat" was pretty scary. But I thought the lady who did the trash bag dress should have been booted.

I really liked the dress that won and the yellow dress with the fresh vegetables. Oh and the blue cup dress was also great.

But one of the dresses, what I though was a pretty good dress would have been the yellow one. The one that Wesley or what's his name made.

The guy who is like 23... I thought it was pretty

Michelle - It was an awful dress but I just think that he shouldn't have been eliminated. Although he already has a good company, I would have loved to see more of him than the woman with the garbage-bag-dress. Uggh.

On one side I think it's pretty unfair that they have picked like people who did or have a good job in fashion, and not the talent that has been walking around everyday and not have been discoverd. But on the other side I think this will end up giving us some mind blowing designs!
And I just love the fact that everyone seems to hate Nina. Just because of how she has been on the other seasons.

Blayne is the oldest looking 23 year old I've ever seen. I would have thought he was at least 35. He should lay off the tanning beds ASAP.

Anyway, I would have booted Garbage Bag lady first, at least Slaughterhouse Chic guy came up with a dress.

I liked the first episode but I don't know how I feel about the caliber of designer this season. Tim and Austin talked about being innovative and exciting and then everyone ran for tablecloths. It was just pathetic.

I almost made this thread. But after making the BB thread that went south I said nah.

It was pretty pathetic how everyone went for the tableclothes.

I loved the dress that won. But the poor model, the cupcake wrappers for a top were SO flat

The dress was pretty though.

The blue cup one was good but it would have looked SO much better if he had make a necklace and maybe a bracelet too. It looked like it was missing something

That raincoat REALLY did scream Norman Bates

Actually I agreed with (I think it was MK) who said that he should have done more with the silhouette. I think if he'd kept the bodice tight but done a more flouncy skirt with the cups (since the tops curl when you cut them off), it would have been more interesting but I did admire that he even went for the plastic cups.

I was definitely expecting more produce though. And I don't think Joe(?) got enough due for his fusili/oven mitt dress because I liked that it had a point of view from head to toe.

What does everyone think of the 2nd episode?
I don't really like how the models shopped for the clothes... they know nothing about what goes together...

Suede is really getting on my nerves.

My favs so far are Kelli, Jennifer, and Kenley.

I have to say that Stella did a way better this week. I really liked the cocktail dress she made. It was way better that ugly garage bag dress she did.

Suede did a surprisingly well with his dress. At first it looked all WTH, but then he turned it into something cute and fun.

The one that bugs me is Blayne. Last week with the whole ugly ass diaper Girlolous outfit was...god. He's outfit is better but he still bugs me.

I really like Kelli. So far she's my favorite.

anyways, I think last season had more of designers that are my taste but this season seems interesting.

Episode one - like everyone else I was soooo disappointed so many people used table cloths. They should have sent both Jerry and Stella home.

Episode two - OMG!!! It was bad enough having the models get the supplies but to not even get to make a plan with the designers first! :faint: I didn't think Suede's dress should've won.

Episode three - I liked Terri's and the other top 3 finisher's outfits better than Kenley's and I thought they should've aufed the clock-dress lady instead of the one they did.

Laira: did you watch the first few episodes of HGTV's Design Star? They had a guy (Michael something) who was supposed to be 23 but looked way older than Blayne.
