| The show is about Lizzie Grubman's PR agency (NY) who does a lot of the big celebrity events like Puffy's White Party, Club Openings, Celebrity Appearance and signgings, etc. The show is interesting from the perspective it gives insight to just how shallow the whole entertainment biz is... But this show goes even further and shows you how shallow and insecure the people who work *in* the business are as well. It's not a very flattering portrayl of a lot of the cast (the girls whom really do work for Lizzie), nor Lizzie herself. It may seem "cool" if you're watching it on TV show... But being in a similar field to PR and working in the entertainment biz in the real world, I can tell you it is really offensive -- if you value integrity, honesty and genuine compassion -- And not as appealing as the show makes it seem. For example, in the latest episode, one of the girls, Kelly, invites her fiancee, Walter, to the White Party and Lizzie actually makes a comment -- with the camera's rolling -- That Walter is a nerd and not very attractive. That is the most shallow thing I have ever seen anyone in Lizzie's position say.. Namely, because she DIDN'T have to say it because it just comes off as not being very classy (even if she did it because the cameras were there)... Yet she goes on and on about being "professional" all the time. What a hypocrite... And that, unfortunately, is what I am talking about in that this may seem glamorous and fun... But the realities of the biz are harsh and very uncaring. | |||

| i loved this show....at first i thought it sucked, but of course i got totally sucked into it. the whole PR field seems really cool. a lot of work, but it looks like so much fun. but that girl Kelly really got on my nerves. her voice was like nails on a chalk board. Lizzie seemed really cool too. at least as a boss. i just couldnt figure out if it was all an act, or she really is that way in real life | |||
