Oh yeah Dave also played guitar for Marty and MiG too. I didnt notice with Suzie. did he hear the call of the fans on what is the purpose of Dave being there?

Okay I prefer the acoustic version of "Trees" except for the screaming. And I like the last part of it. Sige na sa kanila na si Marty. hmm I am not sure how INXS feels that Marty seems to be assertive of which direction he thinks INXS should to go.

MiG losing the jacket People may not be sure if he is a rockstar but he definitely performs like one. He involves the audience, the band members in his performances. The energy in his performances laging consistent ke fast or slow song. I like his versions of "Paint it in black" and "kiss by a rose". I think part of the fact na a lot of people do not think na he is rockstar material coz of his looks. Eh wala na silang magagawa na kahit na anong dark ng kanta na ipakanta nila ke MiG he wont look like a "devil worshipper" or darth sith, darth maul or lahat na ng evil looking person in pop culture na some people think you have to look like para ma-consider kang rockstar. Me mga rockstar naman na maaamo ang mukha pero they cannot be told na they are not "rockstar" enough. Sa INXS na lang wala naman sa kanila ang mukhang rockstar if basing it sa definition ng iba. Ewan!

Oh wow which OTH DVD yung sa S2? galing talaga ng mga fans ng OTH. kaya sana the writers will take into consideration what the fans think.

Ganda na sana nung Trees tapos may screaming nanaman sa end. Sayang. For a while Marty stopped being a screamer tapos parang bumalik nanaman.. at such a crucial point in the competition! I am not sure how the band feels about his assertiveness either. I dont know how much they'd appreciate the input that the new member is willing to contribute. Kasi para bang, newbie ka lang, it's Our Band so dont tell us what to do... and si Marty parang ang daming ideas.

rai, thanks for starting the new thread. i the title cos it's so bagay that you incorporated the shows we're watching now.

for me, MiG's performance was ultimately the best tonight. he did great in both his songs. his unique arrangement of paint it black was just awesome. i knew the band was gonna like it. the way he incorporated the verses in acoustics and then he putting a dark edge in the chorus was phenomenal. he got to show his soft and edgier sides to everyone. with kiss from a rose he got to show his awesome vocal range. dave gave him props for his songs but i thought the band didn't do that enough so i'm worried that if, and this is a big IF, he's in the bottom 3 tomorrow the band would take him out. i'm hoping he gets to do an encore and i want it to be paint it black.

marty - he was the second best to me. his acoustic version of trees was such fun and it was even more catchy. his version of creep was wonderful. he did lessen his screaming a bit. i find it ironic that Inxs wants him to scream less but the songs they've picked for him involves screaming.

jd - again, i enjoyed pretty vegas. he definitely owns the song and he gives his all doing it. he should be proud of it. money was boring. i dunno why the band enjoyed it but since they're pink floyd fans so go figure.

suzie - i thought she had the weakest performance out of the four of them. her voice gave out in some parts of what's going on? it was like she was trying really hard to put on a good performance cos she knew she blew the interview with Inxs. sure her voice is spectacular but i don't think she has the X factor that the other 3 have.

i didn't know there was a controversy about MiG wearing that USMC jacket. ano ba yan? do they have to nitpick and bash every little thing about him?

thank God for dave! he made MiG take do another striptease and we got to see his bod again.

okay, Pretty Vegas is getting pretty ****ing annoying! I mean, the beat is still good and catchy but the whole megaphone thing is getting downright tiresome.

yay, I finally heard Trees! I think it's more of an abstract song and I didn't think it was too corny. Gah, my Marty love just skyrocketed! Dude, Creep is like one of my "life" songs and just the way Marty performed it...the whole creepy eye stare and growling is back!

Suzie really does capture the audience's attention, but idk, Mig was last in the early voting results (which I'm sure will change soon). Mig's body is bangin' though! Whoo!

and re: someone insinuating Mig's gay - dude, he's ****ing married. Get over it.

Teena one of INXS did say na he was hoping MiG would be in the bottom 3 para he gets to sing an INXS song but it seemed that by his performance that wasnt likely. MiG will eventually get to sing an INXS song. If and if he does be in the bottom 3 then he would have to mess up an INXS song really bad. His verion of "Need you Tonight" was great. Plus they did take notice of the arrangement. Ang galing nga ng arrangement niya ng "paint it black" actualy both arrangements were good. He certainly made it his own. In "Paint it black" he was able to showcase his range. going from high to low isnt easy but he was able to do it.

Jan "Pretty Vegas" was okay but i didnt get the whole purpose of the megaphone. I think INXS wanting Marty to tone down his screaming is sometimes throwing him off. I mean that is part of his style so kahit na alam niya that INXS would want him to tone it down, he struggles with it kaya lumalabas pa rin. I really like Marty so kung di na rin lang si MiG si Marty na. But his fans feel the same way that being part of INXS though its a great opportunity, it will stifle them. So sige si JD na lang for INXS.

MiG was in the bottom 3 in the preliminaries for the past 2 weeks but so far di pa naman. Oh man! Thank goodness to Dave Navarro for making that suggestion!

What I really like about MiG's performances is that even though the band may think na weak yung ibang performances niya at least they do not bore people. He really does give a good show. The energy is there, the consistency and he catches the audienece's attention a lot of times. being able to suspend that attention is really important.

Hay naku yeah its such a controvery but MigWins has explained na MiG explained why he wore it during the taping. And besides, the producers should have known better pero syempre they feast on controversy kaya siguro di nila pinagsabihan na it might be controversial. The thing I asked sa MSN board was... :was MiG the VERY first non-Marine to wear it? I am sure the answer is No. Sabi nga ni MigWins na if its not supposed to be worn outside then dont make it available. I am more bothered by the fact na some people have used the American Flag as clothing. I saw an episode of "The Cut" kung saan isang buong US Flag ang ginawang gown. sa Philippines ata you can pattern it from the flag but not the flag itself. and if you are going to use it other than what its supposed to be eh one needs special permission. Eh dito, sa gowns, sa blanket, slippers, bags, etc So alin ang mas disrespectful? yung paggamit ni MiG ng Marine jacket or yung pagsusuot ng flag? ang flag dapat winawagayway at di sinusuot. Ang jacket sinusuot.

Rai, yeah, I totally see Marty struggling. I think out of the 4, he's the one "struggling" the most because he's set, you know? He knows his style and he's only willing to meet the band halfway, unlike JD who used to be an impersonator and therefore is willing to "fit the mold", you know what I mean? But him asking his mom for $50 cracked me up

and dude, pati ba naman damit? I mean, don't people wear that red military uniform (I think it's British) as a fashion thing now too? I don't think MIg meant to disrespect anyone. It wasn't like there were medals or patches or anything on the jacket, was there? and word, ****ing there are US flag boxers. Boxers! (but I think they're cute, actually )

marse, may stripes sa arms yung jacket na MiG wore which i guess means na may rank dapat ang may suot noon. i don't understand what the big deal is ? i guess since marine vet sya kaya na offend sya pero meron ding isang army guy, di marine, na di naman daw offensive for him. sana di na lumaki yung issue kaso syempre yung mga members ng Team MiG eh todo defend sa kanya. weird nga cos when he wore the british redcoat jacket walang ganyang reaction. napaka-sensitive ng ibang amerikano talaga.

rai, garry was the one who commented that he wanted MiG to be in the bottom 3 to hear him sing an Inxs song. pero binawi nya cos he finished it off saying MiG doesn't deserve it cos of his awesome performance. garry is one of MiG's fans. i don't think he has said anything bad about MiG's performances ever. you're so right. he was so terrific in both songs. he did show his vocal range cos both songs shift from high to low notes.

i dunno why only garry and kirk keep commenting on MiG's performance. the others didn't say much again.

I thought the same thing too. They've been way too generous when it come to their praises for Suzie. I dont see how that could have been a "world class performance"

Jan: bikinis pa kamo! I saw a commercial for Laughlin, NV and one of the girls was wearing the stars and stripes in a bikini. Jessica Simpson was wearing one or 2 when she was on the cover of Vanity Fair I think and they said it was patriotic! Patriotic my A$$! eh halos kitang kita na ang dapat tinatago. Me nakita ka na ba sa ibang bansa na nasa damit ang flag nila? wala. I think I saw in a mag na si Michelle Branch was wearing a shirt with a Philippine flag sa harap. I wanted it but it wasnt available. so meaning its not as easily accessible as the others here.

Teena I think yung stripes are standard sa uniform. I can ask my uncle kasi he was in the Marines a long time ago. ang arte nga ng iba as if naman si MiG ang kauna-unahang nagsuot noon. He just wore it geez di naman inapakan or what or anything that shows disrespect. He wore it with pride shouldnt that say something?

I feel bad for Marty kasi he is really struggling. Dont get me wrong he is an accomplished musician pero in his efforts to please INXS he is toning it down but obvious na napipilitan lang siya. What was it that he was assigned to sing and he spent a good amount of time sa studio to make it right? At the back of his mind he wants to tone down his screaming but it means having to deviate from who he is. Ang hirap noon ah.

Jan: tama ka itf there is anyone that they can mold its going to be JD and he will be more than happy to set aside what he wants to get the gig. But hanggang kelan naman kaya niya magagawa yun. kasi I am sure JD has some ideas on which direction INXS should go like Marty but he isnt as much vocal as Marty kasi feeling ko he doesnt want to ruffle INXS feathers when it comes to it. Isip siguro niya when I get the gig saka na ako magsasalita pero baka naman by that time eh set na utak ng INXS na JD would go along with whatever.

OA na nga si Suzie. feeling ko each time she is about to have a nervous breakdown. And her whining is getting annoying.
