Newlyweds: Season IV

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson-Lachey -- Voted America's Favorite Reality TV couple in the People's Choice Awards -- Are back for their fourh season outing on MTV, tonight at 10 PM/9c.

(TV Guide says it's season III, but I know for a fact this is the fourth season in terms of airtime at least).

We've seen the introduction of Jessica's assistant Casee; Nick's birthday presentation to Jessica while at a concert (Happy Birthday: From Nick to Jessica) and the addition to the Simpson-Lachey household in the form of Jessica's new dog.

Also, Newlyweds: Season I is out on DVD for those wanting to get caught up in the whole 'Chicken of the Sea' controversy that made this show so popular in the first place.

Tonight's episode apparently starts off with Nick and Jessica celebrating their third anniversary in the Napa Wine Valley of Northern California.

Discuss!

Did anyone watch the season premiere? I thought it was pretty good. I want to go to Napa Valley now and I never considered it before. I wonder how much Nick had to eat at the meal Jessica didn't like anything.

There were some really funny moments in this season's premiere.

Some of them were:

Nick: If I have to sample all of these wines, I'll be the first one carted out of here for being druken, disorderly -- I'll be streaking through the Vineyards naked

---

Jessica: There's a lot of things not currently on my mind.

Nick: Yeah. Like walking a straight line.

Those two were SMASHED once they were done tasting all the wines

---

Jessica: Well, I mean he (the dog) is a long as you, Nick.

Nick turned the dog around and looked at his tail and then looked at his own crotch

---

I think this season should be good because both of their careers are taking off again which means they both have goals to work toward and those seem to be the more genuinely interesting episodes like when Nick was trying his solo career in S1.

Yes. It wasn't bad.

Jessica had to have a root canal, but she wasn't as freaked out as the preview made it seem. It was actually kind of boring. I mean, you can only show so much of a dental procedure until you start to lose interest. It's not like she is a little kid and started screaming and crying at the sight of a needle or something.

I thought it was cool how they actually celebrate holidays like Halloween by dressing up the house and giving out candy to kids. It's so funny. All the kids kept asking Nick, "Where is Jessica?" One even asked "Where is Ashley?" and Nick said, "Ashely doesn't live here, sweetheart?

I thought that was funny too. I was surprised that Nick just put the candy out on the steps and let people take it. You just knew kids were going to take more than their share.

I know that was hilarious!!! I kind felt bad for Nick though! Kinda like they were invading his privacy...... they were like trying to get into the house...

I'm starting to think that Nick is a little mean to Jessica. Even my husband said "I don't think he even likes her very much." I know editing probably has a lot to do with it, but I am starting to wonder.

I noticed that too. I'm also sure that it's cause of the editing. I like it better when they show how cute they are.

I have noticed that too, last season. It's easy to see how he would get fed up with her but he's the one who married her. He knew or should have known how she was before they got married.
